Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.

Good concept, poorly executed.

The film was still a fun one that will make you laugh and have you leaving the theater feeling like you just stole something valuable and got away with it.

I read a lot of reviews about Dirty Love, most of them being negative. I suppose that comparing this movie to any type of method acting would make me incredibly frustrated as a viewer; but I do not see this particular project as a means to show good method comedy acting but to tell an over-the-top version of a story--like an R rated SNL. & while SNL is used for a live audience, I can see why doing this on film would be very confusing but to be honest, I love it. These are improv characters they've developed taking it into the next level of exaggeration, which is a very rare humor that the mainstream audience might not relate to.Nevertheless, unlike Grease 2 (which is truly the most awful movie in the world, come on guys) I can completely relate to each character. I can name a friend or loved one that is exactly like those girls. It's ridiculous but that's what makes it completely relate-worthy to all those women out there who, while outwardly may look amazingly privileged or may look the most beautiful, are human. We are all going to have those crazy days when we show up late to work & are speechless in how to explain the truthful yet truly unbelievable circumstance that just occurred. I admit that my first time seeing this I myself experienced culture shock. But now I get it, and it gave me the best Valentine's Day even being married, I searched & found a copy at Rasputin Records & it's by far the best chick flick for goofy girls that hate normal chick flicks & can stomach Housebunny (also one of my favorites for similar reasons). Quotable stuff in there, the characters to me are well developed & hilarious, & jeez who actually likes a comedic series the first time? Different types of comedy are an acquired taste. That doesn't mean it's not good.& by the way, Eddie Kay Thomas rocked it.

i can't believe the reviews i read for this movie, obviously you people don't understand the comedy in this movie. you are all taking it as a literal movie, understand this....its COMEDY that means fictional!!! nobody will ever act like she does in this movie, you want to because that's how you feel inside...but you will not act like this...OK???? get off it and get a sense of humor folks!!!! the movie is funny as any stupid comedy out there. i loved all of it, it's one of my favorites....because.....IT'S FUNNY. someone referred to dumb and dumber, very funny movie also but yes fictional. scary movie is funny too because its just dumb humor and that's what this movie is, dumb humor...entertainment...hello

This movie was lent to me by a friend who said she considered it to be the 'funniest movie she has ever seen'. Well...I think she must have been watching it with her eyes closed because I obviously didn't believe so. This is the biggest waste of time you could ever go through. Seriously, I would rather watch paint dry than spend time watching this charade of tasteless jokes and characters. Jennie McCarthy is a very talented actress, when she wants to be. The fact that she has to try to make people laugh by filming a scene of having her period in a supermarket just makes me realize she isn't so funny. She just thinks she's funny. In the end, all I could say to myself was, 'how far does my friend live? So I can drop off this DVD on her front stoop as soon as possible. Maybe she'll pass along this crap to someone else.'

i love this movie! i watched this film and i thought it was just OK. Later, i found myself telling my friends about this film, as parts of it are just hilarious. soon i found myself watching this movie again with friends,family and coworkers and everyone loving it, at times i had to hit the pause button to wait for people to stop laughing so they wouldn't miss anything. my feelings towards this film quickly changed, I LOVE THIS MOVIE! i would not change a thing. i thought it was a good story, well directed, a good soundtrack, and the facial expressions alone are too much. i do not understand why so many of the other reviews here seem to be so angry. Its a fun film! relax and enjoy.
