best movie i've ever seen.

InformationRap

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

As a sequel, Dream a Little Dream 2 tends to take a lot fun out of the first movie and attempts too hard to carry on what looked to be quite a finite ending in the first film as well. The Coreys return in this extremely low budget comedy/action as friendly duo, Bobby and Dinger. Only, they're no longer the apathetic adolescence we once knew in Dream a Little Dream. Feldman (though still emulating Michael Jackson here) trades in his pony tail for the yuppie look, while lovable Dinger trades in his threads for new age attire. Add to the mix a red head who plays Bobby's love interest and Dinger's sister (who knew?!). The story involves Dinger being summoned through dreams by the now late Coleman Ettinger (Jason Robards in the first movie, who does not appear at all in this one, not even in photographs). Something that, at first, the guys aren't too sure about. Or at least, Bobby doesn't believe Dinger's warnings about what Ettinger is trying to tell him in those dreams. Meanwhile, Bobby and Dinger receive a pair of mysterious sun glasses with mystical powers of one person who is wearing one pair of glasses following the habits of the other person who is wearing the other pair. A blonde and another con are after the glasses and try to seduce both Bobby and Dinger in order to get their hands on their magic glasses. Sounds stupid, doesn't it? It is, but despite being achingly boring and wholly devoid of all the great things the first movie had to offer, it does get somewhat better as it moves along. At least forty minutes or so into the movie, when they finally pull some sort of story together. Once the movie becomes Feldman and the red headed girlfriend running around trying to figure out what's going on, and Dinger winds up in jail, things do get a bit more entertaining, in that cheap, early 90s low-budget comedy kind of way. In other words, turn off your brain, and you'll surely be entertained. But, you won't miss anything in skipping the sequel, anyway.

Excellent music and musicians, Mickey Thomas and Mel Torme!!! Not a stellar film but entertaining. A movie geared towards pre-teens, teens, and 20's crowds. But enjoyable if you are not expecting a 5 star electrifying movie.

Warning may contain spoilers! Although this sequel to the 1989 hit has really no comparasin(I think i spelled that right!)to the original. Which was a body switch comedy(very popular storyline in the late 80's)this sequel is faithful enough I suppose. The story has a sexy con artist after a pair of spec's, one pair has the ability to make the wearer of the second pair, do his or her bidding. Of course they land in the hands of bobby and dinger which sets them in yet another adventure. Although the film box would have you beleave that this was loaded with nudity, it's not. which is good. mainly because there are so many "sequels" nowaday's that take that territory out of desperation, to get money, and fan recognition. defanintly worth a look.

I tried watching this waste of a film but fell asleep the first time and ended up having some dreams of my own. After waking up and rewinding, I found the dreams I had were more interesting than this films so called plot involving special mind-controlling sunglasses. Any fun the first film had is completely lost in this mess.
