Two teenage friends spend their summer break preparing for the sexual conquests they hope to experience. That is, until one of the boys is visited by his older, more sexually aggressive cousin, Azucena. Ushering her naïve cousin into the world of sex could take more work than Azucena realized.

A clunky actioner with a handful of cool moments.

It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film

I agree wholeheartedly with Charles King's review that the film is "pleasant and well done" for its day. The movie focuses on the yearnings of many an adolescent boy coping with the frustrated sexual temptations and resulting wet dreams of early teenage years. His acting is believable and does make the film work. The sex scene near the end of the movie is quite explicit, although toned down by the long dissolves, but both Leticia Perdigon and the boy are completely nude. The scene is very intimate and reveals probably more than intended. The boy's erection is noticeable and it seems like actual penetration is taking place as the dissolving scenes blend into each other. I'm amazed that I've never seen any comment or reference to the boy's erection and possible actual sex taking place, it sure seems like it may have happened. It's very doubtful if the movie with such an explicit scene and underage boy could be done today. But the intimacy adds a lot and makes the whole story believable and pleasant.

Just out on DVD, I found this a pleasant and well done film. Sexual coming of age films have a very narrow road to success in my book. They have to be believable without being explicit. "Dreaming About You", has a great approach. Most foreign language films have a different point of view from the typical "Hollywood" film. Yet I found this film surprisingly "Hollywood" in its style. The director, Marisa Sistach, takes a good story by Jose Buil and Alfonso Reyes and keeps the pace moving, while getting solid performances out of the talented cast. Played as a comedy, the performances are never over the top. Well, Moises Ivan Mnora (Quique) pushes the envelope, but it is a good counter to Martin Altomaro's performance as Toto. Perhaps a little too low key for your typical fourteen or fifteen year boy, Altomaro's performance makes the film work. His role has to be believable or the film will fail. The sexual scene is done in the traditional compositing, long dissolves to reduce the explicitness while still retaining the intimacy. What is surprising to me is that you can do this type of scene with a male actor who is clearly under the age of eighteen. I doubt that you could have filmed this in the USA, not that it is exploitative. Leticia Perdigon and Altomare, however, are nude. Yet this scene is the key to making the film a success. In summary, a light but believable film which left me feeling good. Enjoy!

This is one of those movies you watch by chance while you'll looking for something interesting on TV. That was how I found this some years ago, and to my surprise I enjoyed it. The plot is about changes in a boy's life (mainly sexual one) what makes this film something attractive to see. Beautiful Leticia Perdigon plays one of the leading roles. My rate 6/10
