Eagles: Hell Freezes Over Trailers

The Eagles performed live for the first time in April 1994 after a fourteen-year-long hiatus. Their reunion album’s name was in reference to Don Henley’s quote after the band’s breakup in 1980, when he commented that they would only play together again “when Hell freezes over”. Recorded at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California for an MTV special, the live sessions produced eleven tracks for the album, including a new acoustic version of “Hotel California”.

How sad is this?

TrueHello

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

FirstWitch

A movie that not only functions as a solid scarefest but a razor-sharp satire.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

I'm a 22 yr. old who has been an Eagles fan since my dad first played Hotel California for me on vinyl, and this, quite simply, was absolutely fantastic! Whenever I need a lift, I listen to "The Heart of the Matter" or "Life in the Fast Lane." This was, in fact, the most incredible music DVD I've ever seen. Glenn Frey, the black-haired centerpiece who sings lead on "Take it Easy" and "Tequila Sunrise" seems to be in the lead here, which suits Don Henley, the gravelly-voiced drummer/lead singer from Texas, (whose vocals leave an impression on all those lucky enough to partake)just fine. My personal favorite moments are those between Don Felder and Joe Walsh, the two guitar players to our right (Frey's left), who seem to be the two guys most in love with the music. Although Felder has since been fired and the Eagles aren't quite the instrumental tour-de-force they once were, this DVD represents the last peak for an iconic band, much like Queen at the first Live-Aid. In my opinion, Hell Freezes Over is a slice of Heaven.

The 14 year vacation Glen speaks of in this concert has done nothing to dampen their spirits or their quality of music. Collectively their voices are just as strong now as they were in the mid 70's. This concert has captured all the magic that was and still is The Eagles. From the moment they hit the stage, the audience is kept spellbound as you will be when you see this. I would have liked to have seen this concert in its entirety but not withstanding that this is an excellent addition to anyones' music collection. For those wanting to buy a DTS or 5.1 surround sound system this DVD also has a side benefit in that it is perfect for what Digital Theatre Surround should sound like. For me, this is a 10 but then I am a fan.

I'm only 16, and was never really a fan of 'older' music until my Dad brought this DVD home. Now I'm hooked. The Eagles are fantastic, they definitely still have the magic. My fave is 'Hotel California' and I love 'Pretty Maids All in a Row', 'New York Minute' and 'The Last Resort'.

I was extremely pleased with this DVD. The Eagles individually and as a group were all excellent and the DTS encoding is outstanding. I have viewed this concert dozens of times and find it to always be fresh and satisfying. The clarity of the video in the DVD format and the DTS encoded sound track are a joy to the eyes and ears. This was my first DTS recorded product and has set a new standard for my expectations. You will not be dissatisfied with this purchase, especially if you have a DTS decoder as part of your audio system. The audio only Seven Bridges Road at the end of the DVD surrounds and penetrates every sense. Find the sweet spot in the room, close your eyes and turn up the volume.
