good back-story, and good acting
It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

View MoreEisenstein: The Master's House(1998) is an extremely fascinating and informative non-fiction film about the film career of probably the greatest film-maker in Russian cinema history. It covers everything from his youth to his final days. The film does an excellent job at discussing Eisenstein's failure to pursue a successful career in Hollywood. It even mentions his short stint in Mexico while trying to do some films there. This documentary is filled with some clips from many of his best work and also talks about Eisenstein's theories on editing, directing, and the use of montage. Eisenstein: The Master's House(1998) is a documentary that is a must see for anyone interested in directing a film or learning about the work of Sergei Eisenstein.
