Excellent, a Must See
This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows
View MoreEach character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.
View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
View MoreThe minimum is four lines, and it won't take much more than that for this one. The embassy in "Embassy" is the American one in Rome, and this easy-to-take pilot for a prospective series concerns the various problems faced by the staff, from criminals (Richard Masur) to an ambitious new employee who's after Mimi Rogers' job and boyfriend (Nick Mancuso). The movie was actually shot in Rome, which helps; though it might not have lasted too long had it gone to a series (witness what happened to "The American Embassy"), you won't resent viewing it in the afternoon slot or whenever. Nice Gerald Fried theme as well.
