Disappointment for a huge fan!
Crappy film
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
View MoreYes, absolutely, there is fun to be had, as well as many, many things to go boom, all amid an atmospheric urban jungle.
View MoreI was expecting more out of the movie. It goes from here to there and then somewhere else. It is hard to figure out what is gonna come next. You are always in between to decide if the guy has a mental problem or it is caused by the drugs. But this movie worth watching. I enjoyed it.It starts as a it is a conspiracy about a new drug testing. Then introduced some urban legends in to it. It gets interesting to watch.Especially the scenes in San Francisco are the ones I liked the most. The ending scene also takes place there, which I totally agree with the idea meant in the movie... "San Francisco is Heaven"
View MoreEMR is a nice movie. It starts with a nice introduction of the main character and in the first few minutes gets you right into the movie. The main Char is very well performed and the storyline flows very nicely providing the feelings of confusion and loss that the movie intends to intensify. For the way it transmits feelings of overwhelming mix between dreams and reality it is a great movie but the theme of conspiracy and the way this movie handles its twists is really not very innovative leaving one expecting for a bit more. This way I rated EMR above average but not too much, too see on a Sunday afternoon ;)
View MoreThis is one of those films that it seems to me needs to be judged for what it is. Namely, a film made on a small budget that punches above its weight. It looks to me like the script could have done with a bit more work, but that said, the acting performances are largely excellent, the direction is good and the subject matter intriguing. Adam, the lead, is excellent - a really good portrayal of a geek who is nevertheless a hapless hero. And the tortures he goes through are great. The San Fran bar scene towards the end of the film hints at real potential. In some senses the ending might be considered predictable, but equally, it's really nice and dark and doesn't let up. Is this all his paranoid ravings or is he actually the victim of a grander corporate experiment? With all the news about drugs companies pushing the limits of the law both in terms of how they market drugs and how they test them, this seems to me a timely reminder of the dark realities of modern consumerism and the thin line between the profit motive and patient welfare. A good little Indy effort and much more refreshing than most Brit flicks currently on offer.
View MoreThis movie can really be described in one word: senseless. It has no purpose, except to waste your time. I thought the premise sounded like a nice mystery movie, but it turns out to be just pointless. Please, save yourself some time and avoid this movie. The beginning might look like a decent movie, in fact, it looks so most throughout the movie. But it just builds up the tension, to lead up to a very disappointing conclusion that does not resolve anything at all! And that is why I must say that anyone that is interested in a story with a point should avoid this. Some might say that it shocks you nicely, what for? I can't find a reason for the movie at all.
