Dreadfully Boring

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Malaysia's attempt to get in on the drifting movie bandwagon is actually quite decent. It's plagued with bad acting, impossible feats and a paper-thin plot, just like the other drifting/tuning movies that have sprouted since Fast&Furious. Seeing this movie with subtitles is absolutely necessary, though I'm sure there's some very bad dubbed version, seeing as Malaysian apparently has a lot of slang words in English, but it was still funny to hear them talking in a style that would make Kimi Raikkonen jealous. Onto the really important parts: the drifting is good, the driving is very good, and the action isn't too over the top, yet everything else manages to be very annoying to say the least. The editing is probably my biggest problem with it, since it made the characters look wooden and for some very awkward moments. Any attempts at drama are half-baked and predictable, but one thing I have to give this movie props for is that there is no formulaic happy ending. We never truly find out what happens in the end and a lot of questions are left unanswered, which most probably is to lead to a sequel, but also meant that all the stupid scenes could be erased from my memory. Hopefully this will be a breakout movie for many of the ones in it, but stand alone, it's not much worth it.
