EXTREME is a visually stunning 45-minute journey into the soul of adventure featuring a cast of world champion athletes. Combining incredible extreme sport action with narration from the athletes and an eclectic, contemporary soundtrack, EXTREME explores the paradox of human nature: facing fear from the edge of life.

Your blood may run cold, but you now find yourself pinioned to the story.

Blending excellent reporting and strong storytelling, this is a disturbing film truly stranger than fiction

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

The movie really just wants to entertain people.

This was one of the most boring and disappointing movies I've ever seen. It's not really entertaining to see some guys skiing or surfing, if there is no real catcher (like extreme close-up or taking the angle of view of the "actors", e.g. during surfing). The "linking" of the clips was either too sophisticated for me (see a bird - think of snowboarding?!) - or it was absolutely unrelated and dumb. No thrills and not even a laugh - the whole long movie. I'd not recommend this movie to anyone, except for snowboarding or surfing freaks - and even they are probably better off to go out...

I recently saw this film and thought that it was excellently done. The filming is such to inspire awe and respect for the power of nature while glorifying those who conquer it. The soundtrack was also excellent.

Once again, another visually stunning IMAX movie, with little to hold it together. We see surfing the biggest waves, climbing the tallest mountains, windsurfing big waves, climbing rock faces, and snowboarding. We hear inane comments from many of the above "athletes".Overall, it was painful to pay full movie price for a 45 minute load of eye candy.

This movie confirmed my thinking that the great IMAX format is not enough to make a movie good. The focus on extreme sports sounds perfect but many of the shots were so panoramic that you lost perspective on the size of the waves and the slope of the mountains. Some of the scenes were truly spectacular, just not enough of them.
