An absolute waste of money
A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
View MoreThe story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
View MoreLet me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
View MoreMark Smith did a very balanced, layered telling of the story of this amazing woman and her family who run the business she built. This is not a thinly-veiled commercial by any means. But you just might find yourself resolving to eat more fruits and vegetables after you've seen it! I count the subject as a dear friend so I can say that, at the same time, I am biased but also that I know first-hand that the film was a very fair and honest portrayal of this inspiring woman. Over the years I have gotten to know all of the Caplan family women in the film and have been exposed to quite a bit of the business culture. What made it to film rings true, from the inclusive approach Frieda takes to her life and business, to the great respect her family, friends, employees, and professional peers hold for her. Everyone should have a Frieda Caplan in their life. If you don't, do the next best thing and seek out the produce that is her namesake at your local supermarket!
