Truly Dreadful Film

Kamila Bell

This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

I'm sorry, but this just might be the worst movie I've ever seen. the acting is horrible, the characters are horrible (but that could be just a result of the acting) and the story is potentially funny, but not executed properly. I mean, this is supposed to be a 'romantic comedy', and it actually starts out funny. But then, when the first 'oh no I hate men' scene takes about 10 minutes, you see the problem of this movie; everything just takes too long. The movie is slow and dreary. When there is a funny, weird situation, usually the director cuts out and goes on with something thing else, but here we can see how Flick (seriously?) smiles awkwardly and tries to deal with it. then the situation is solved, and it's all good. In the movie, Flick is described as goofy, unconventional, extraordinary and spontaneous. What you see though, is an awkward middle aged woman, actually a very normal person, and definitely the most normal person on this movie. The Flick character is so dull, that the makers of the movie needed all the other characters to say she is wonderful, unconventional, special and one of a kind. This does not, however, come forth from the character itself. All of the characters are very shallow. I couldn't sympathize with any of them. again, this may be just because of the acting. This movie is BAD, but not bad in a funny way. It's bad in a way that will have you braindead and just staring at a screen. Even with a couple of friends you can't make this movie funny. In short, the worst, most annoying movie I've ever seen.
