Good story, Not enough for a whole film

RipDelight

This is a tender, generous movie that likes its characters and presents them as real people, full of flaws and strengths.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

This movie feels like it was made purely to piss off people who want good shows

This movie is flat out hilarious. For anyone who has caught the recent Disaster Artist, then this is a firm contender for a sequel. The Disaster Artist is about the making of an unintentionally hilarious movie called The Room. Someone should make a Disaster Artist sequel about Damien Chapa's effort with Fuego. I couldn't stop laughing the entire time, and found it funnier than most comedy releases. Chapa wrote, directed and starred in this beautiful mess, and one can't help but wonder at what made him satisfied with the final product. The supporting cast are woeful and the supposedly attractive women look like they were recruited from a low budget brothel. Chapa himself is bloated and puffy, and looks ridiculous trying to appear menacing. Carafine turns up and sadly smokes cigarettes, possibly thinking of the bad decisions that led to his appearance in this abortion of a film. There is better production value, props and special effects in primary school plays. 1/10 for a genuine rating10/10 for thigh slapping belly laughs

But only if you live in Belgium. Bought this movie on Blu Ray not knowing what to expect. What I got was a movie so bad I enjoyed myself greatly with it. For me and a friend I watched it with it all revolved around the locations, supposedly taking place in Spain, Ibiza and eventually Belgium while from the start for us it was obvious the movie was entirely shot in and around Antwerp. The movie recognises this when Fuego says, but we are in Belgium now and the bad guy replies: Its all the same poop. And that it is. Poop from start to finish. Yet if you live in this little socialist paradise we call Belgium the movie does take on another dimension. One which people not from here simply cant grasp. 10 stars if you are from Belgium for comedy value alone. Half a star if you are from anywhere else.

I bought this movie because it was on Blu-ray and for only 8 bucks in the discount bin. It looks like a decent B-action movie when looking at the cover, but it is so crappy it doesn't fit in the alphabet. It is claimed to be a Latin James Bond movie, and while I am not that impressed by James Bond (with Casino Royale being an exception), this is an insult to those series. This movie looks more like a failed student project. Uninspiring storyline, worse acting than in the average soap series, terrible action scenes, laughable special effects, not one interesting line in dialogs. This is the first movie I have seen which I can't think of anything positive. Even the "hot" babes in this movie look like they were recruited from the methadone clinic. If I was David Carradine I wouldn't have wanted to be affiliated with this movie at all. I guess he needed money and performing fellatio was the other alternative, that's the only reasonable explanation for his cooperation. If you can find this movie for a steal, don't buy it. If someone offers it for free you can use it as a beer coaster, but don't watch it unless someone pays you to do so.

Fuego from actor/writer/director/producer Damian Chapa is a top notch action movie made outside of Hollywood. Chapa plays ex-con Fuego who tries to make up for his past sins by rescuing the sexy daughter of an Ambassador. I'm a huge fan of Steven Seagal and this reminded of that type of movie. It was great to see David Carradine from Kung Fu fame as Lobo. Nina Epifanova playing the Ambassador daughter is Feugo herself. There is tons of action in this movie to keep viewers interested. I was impressed with the directing and camera work. Great job Mr. Chapa. This is not a date movie or one you watch the wife. This is like UFC or Spike TV. A total guy movie that has punch. Stay away from Chicano Blood and watch Fuego!
