That was an excellent one.

It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

Okay, before I talk about this movie, I feel like I have to talk about how I feel about Kevjumba before I talk about this movie. Kevjumba became one of my favorite Youtube personalities immediately when I started watching his videos. His videos were funny, breezy, light-hearted, and always relatable. He had this sincerity to him that translates very well on camera and even though he talks about very mundane things like high-school or girls, he keeps them very entertaining because of his natural charm and charisma, something not every Youtuber can do(Smosh). But with that being said, when I heard the news Kevin was gonna be doing a feature-length, independent movie that he'll not only be starring in, but also co-writing and producing, I wasn't the least bit excited. I mean, Kevin is a funny guy but is he really talented enough to write a movie? Let's take a look, shall we?Okay, the story is that of Kevin going to Hawaii to attend his sister's wedding after going through a breakup with this girl he really liked. On the night before the wedding however, Kevin attends a strip club with his friends and ends up going on a wacky misadventure that ends up changing his life. Okay, firstly, what's wrong with this story?Well, for one thing, it's very generic. Not only does the plot sound like The Hangover, but all the character arcs and themes are very predictable and flat. It's just all very generic, Kevin is a guy who doesn't feel confident around girls because he went through a breakup. Well, guess what, he gains his confidence and finds a girl to bond with. His friend, Dante, is a bit of a manwhore as he likes to fancy himself a player and the guy who's always the first one to break up with the girl. Well, his character arc is that he learns that he really does love his fiancée and that she's the only one he wants to be with. See what I mean when I say this is predictable and flat? But I wouldn't have minded all of this if it was funny or energetic which, frankly, it wasn't. This movie tried to be sort of an "Asian Hangover" but the problem is that the plot doesn't really get going until like, 40 minutes in, and when it does get going, it really isn't as funny or energetic as you would expect from a Kevjumba film. There's some amusing moments, and I was fairly entertained throughout but there's never any moments where I laughed really hard or got really into it in any way. I just sat there and watched it and while I was fairly entertained, I didn't find myself enjoying it as much as I wanted to.The acting is surprisingly decent with everybody giving fairly believable performances. Kevin is just playing Kevin, plain and simple. However, he manages to be likable and relatable as always so I didn't really mind that he was just playing himself again. Though, he wasn't always believable when he's arguing with Dante. Maybe it's because everybody knows Kevin is a complete sweety in real-life, I don't know but either way, he's just not very convincing when he has to act angry. Still overall, a good performance. Dante plays Kevin's friend as a cocky, full-of-life wannabe player who's always full of words in his mouth and he does a good job. He was charismatic and energetic and he portrayed his arc fairly convincingly. Everyone else in the cast was fine too.Surprisingly, Kevin didn't direct this film and that job was instead handed to someone named Ryan Kawamoto. He did a competent but rather unremarkable job as the shooting and editing just looks like your typical Kevjumba video. One minor thing that bugged me was his excessive use of speed-up and slow-down motions. It just looked like an Internet short and it doesn't look good in a feature-length movie. It kinda reminds me of that James Bond movie, Die Another Day. Not something to be proud of. Still, a competent job. This film also looks extremely cheap at times as there's some things that feel like it was written the way it was just to save costs. Granted, this WAS a pretty low-budget movie but one thing that bothered me was the drug dealer's lack of guns. Now I'm guessing it's because they didn't have the budget to rent professional movie prop guns and blanks but it just seems weird that these drug dealers NEVER pull out a gun at any point in this movie. The camera-work is also pretty unexciting when there's supposed to be an exciting scene going on and the score just doesn't work in some scenes. Again, I know this is a cheap movie but did it have to FEEL cheap? If Robert Rodriguez can make El Mariachi for $7000, why can't they do more than what they ultimately gave us?Overall, while this review sounds pretty negative, it's not that bad of a movie. Even with all its flaws, it was still a fairly entertaining movie that you might like if you enjoy Kevin's Youtube videos. But it's pretty flat and generic as well so it's not a really a must-see either. I guess I'll give it a 5/10. Not horrible, but flat.

Sort of Under the Boardwalk or Side Out meets The Hangover. Fun mostly family friendly fare served up with some honest laughs, and a lot of good effort. Picking up right from the start, and staying very steady all the way through, you will not feel like the story is lagging very often. There are some side stories, and characters that are never fully developed, and so they become no more than background props who are more fun on the gag reel, than in the movie. I bought in to the bonding that these new "brothers" are forced to undergo, and the growth of the lead from a virgin afraid of his shadow to "the Man" with no need to have him be a stud. If you are looking for something new, then this really only something old wrapped in a new package, but you will Enjoy the ride none the less.

First off i want to say this 'movie' is insulting to hawaii, asians and the viewers intelligence. This is clearly a hangover inspired rip off but even that is being generous. The little guy from one of those street dance off against the wall films is supposed to be getting married. Which is unbelievable in itself as he is clearly a-sexual and able to spawn similar asians at will. The gangster is played by a little Chinese kid with slick back hair. He is clearly not comfortable in this role and would be more suited to one of street dancers spawned embryos, crying until burped. Seriously how did he get cast as a gangster, wearing a track suit and oiling your hair back does qualify. Imho he deserved to get vomited on and worse.Overall a fun feel good movie!

This comedy starts out as a flat tire with the main character just being an insecure wimp. The scenes are just way too long, not so funny, even not interesting. Bad acting. Bad studiowork: two parasailing sidekicks sound like they are in a very small chamber, in front of a greenkey, in stead of flying over a beach. I skipped through the movie to speed it up. Still found it slow and boring. The end, which I did not bother to watch, is probably something like everybody makes it back to the wedding in the nick of time, and the wimp gets the hottie. Yes, it reminds me of that actually funny movie "The Hangover", which this movie feels like - a hangover.
