When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The joyful confection is coated in a sparkly gloss, bright enough to gleam from the darkest, most cynical corners.

For a long time this was one of the movies on my 'to watch' list. After hearing lots of praise, seeing the high rating and reading a few of the reviews, here on IMDB, I thought this might be a solid thriller. Additionally, the expected credit for 'Headhunters' was form the fact that this is not a Hollywood movie.A huge surprise (and a let down) waited for me and my wife as we were watching the movie. It turned out to be anything but a solid thriller. More like stupid or idiotic. It actually started very promising. An art thief living an extravagant lifestyle, who also works as a recruiter and is able to take the advantage of it. So for the first 20-30 minutes we were hooked. Then things took a turn in a different direction and had the Cohen - Lynch type of absurdity, being extremely dumb. Some of them were so dumb type of funny, but mostly just dumb. Needless to say that the interesting ideas presented in the beginning were lost or forgotten. The mentioned comparison to Cohen brothers or Lynch is purely in the absurd way the film progresses but in no way I would compare it to their work. I find the material of the former (at least the early one like Miller's Crossing) to be smart while the latter is weird, creepy but nonetheless very beautiful. I have never seen any of them going so low on the 'jokes' as it was done in 'Headhunters'.To sum it up, I was extremely disappointed with the movie. While I can't blame the director (or anything else in the production for that matter) for stupidity since this was intentional, I definitely wouldn't have watched the movie had I the slightest idea of what's to come. This isn't the smart, tension driven thriller I hoped it could be.

For this review, I am just going to enjoy myself pointing out all the "stupids" in the movie, however I still give it a 6 because it was intriguing enough to keep me watching till the end, and the acting was pretty good.1. How does murdering Roger solve the problem for Clas? Roger already tainted Clas's reputation with the hiring company, meaning he probably won't get the job anyways. In fact, Roger should have been the one trying to murder Clas for banging his wife.2. For the sake of argument, let's say Roger has to die. Why the hell would you do it yourself?? The first thing police will look for is motive... One would think someone in Clas's position would have an elite squad of Navy Seal Ninjas ready to do the job for him.3. How come when Roger murders his friend Ove, it wasn't detected on the camera? He was standing in roughly the same spot that Clas was standing in during the ending sequence. I don't know if it was the surveillance guards or the director, but someone had to be on drugs.4. At one point Clas tries to attack Roger, with a stone. Roger has a gun. Enough said.5. IF submerging yourself in poo blocks the tracking signal, wouldn't coming out of the poo instantly reactivate the signal? Honestly I don't think that's how tracking signals work anyways. But personally, I think the best thing ever would have been if he just got murdered in the poo, and no one ever found his body again :) 6. Why kill the farmer unless you have to? That's just more potential consequences down the road. If little Sally was selling Girl Guide Cookies, would she have to be eliminated as well? 7. Why did Clas stop following his dog, which allowed for that ridiculous Mortal Kombat Fatality on the tractor? I guess Clas could have been taking a dump in the outhouse... so I can forgive this one.8. Okay, fine, I will accept Roger surviving the car falling off the cliff scene, only because he was cushioned between two fat guys, but then how does Clas make it down the cliff so quickly to come check on him? Also, if you walked all that way, why not make sure he's dead with a bullet to the brain? And why even bother checking on him? Who the hell is supposed to survive something like that...9. How does Rogers wife know anything about guns, including the exact kind of bullets to buy for the gun, where Clas would keep the gun, or how to load the gun? The only gun she looks like she knows how to handle is under the bed sheets.10. The ending. My suggestion: Watch this movie, laugh, and then don't think about it again.

Good crime-drama from Norway.A man, Roger Brown (played by Aksel Hennie), leads a dual life. On the one hand he is a highly-respected recruitment headhunter. On the other hand, and known to only one other person, he is a highly- accomplished art thief. Then one day he robs someone and finds his life in danger...Clever, well-paced thriller, with solid direction from Morten Tyldum (whose next movie was The Imitation Game). The tension builds well and is maintained well. There's also a certain amount of intrigue and twists, as you don't know what the other party's motives are.Not perfect though. It gets a bit far-fetched towards the end, especially once you discover why everything is happening. Plus it gets to be more of an action movie than a thriller after a while.Good performance by Aksel Hennie in the lead role. Good support from Nikolaj Coaster-Waldau (of Game of Thrones fame) and Synnøve Macody Lund.

HEADHUNTERS is a typically dark Scandi-thriller that is so entertaining that you don't spot the many plot holes until after the film has finished. The slightly unbelievable plot sees the hero - a corporate headhunter with an inferiority complex about his short height - use his job to case the homes of people who have expensive artworks. He then steals them and sells them via a criminal contact in order to fund the rich lifestyle of his (much taller) wife, who wants to open an art gallery. All goes wrong however when he picks an ex-Dutch (but of Scandi origin) soldier, who he suspects is having an affair with his wife, as his next target. Next thing you know, he's covered in feces and driving a tractor with a dog impaled on on the front of it, in fear for his life. If you can forgive the coincidences and the use of some near science-fictional technology, this is a gripping thriller. The women are gorgeous, the modern glass houses sleek, the direction spot-on, the action wince- inducingly real and the characters are sympathetically human. It even has a happy ending!
