Highly Overrated But Still Good

InformationRap

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.

It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.

A bring back of romanticism in a way our moves were of yester-years. It is an Indian feel-good movie set out to ridicule traditions now more harmful to society. The story line is somewhere between magic and happenstance which brings Indian films the ridicule no explanation can soften. The fights are silly as the spongebob lathis. The dialogue however, makes up for some of it. The Dad, Mr Prakash is would do well on a Shakespearean stage. Kriti, who had less footage didn't come of as eye-candy but her subtleties in expression and nuance in tone made her interesting. She did lend glamour to the movie. Expression of Tiger were betterin the early part of the movie. Seriousness don't suit him too well. Please let such movie directors as this one, depart from 'Jackie-chan' antics where one man barehanded beat a whole bunch of brawny lathi wielding guys.....for a comeback of romanticism it is small snatches of music to the soul. Good See.

I really didn't like the message that the dad was wrong. They really stressed that and it was so stupid. I also didn't like the attempt rape scene. They should have started the save before it got to that point because they did a horrible job with it. The "no means no" crap gosh bogus.Too many non-Indian dancers. I hate seeing non-Indians in Indian movies. As the back dancers. I really don't like that.Tiger is an awesome dancer. His lines were so dam stupid. Especially about the women being mistreated. The whole women mistreatment thing was utterly stupid. They did show that the dad really cared and it was the daughter that was stupid. But man they didn't do a good job. This movie was definitely a movie for guys and they added this bogus message I guess to attract some women. The dad was trying to do what was best and they showed that. But this make your own decisions message for not just girls but also boys is not right. Even tigers actor was disobeying his dad. Parents have lots of experience that goes behind their decisions. And it's about time that we start selling the message to the youth that you need to "take control of your life"... When it is the opposite. As you see people who don't take their parents blessings and guidance suffer. It was really a fun watch. Tigers moves are just awesome awesome. My favorite is when the 4 guys are lined up and he Tiger was picked by the dad as knowing where after the uncle overheard the daughter. The daughter had hard time selling out tiger which was nice.If it wasn't for the "disobey your parents" for youth I would have given this movie a lot more. Music was catchy and fun.

All right guys & gals...Disclaimer : If you are the serious types, going to a movie theater or even downloading a movie from the internet which is again serious or has a lot of drama or too much romance or even too much of violence; Heropanti is not for you. Sabbir Khan (Director) has recreated a sort or late 80s-early 90s era in his 2nd directorial venture. His earlier movie; Kambhakkt Ishq was total CRAP. But Heropanti is a fantastic improvement. Direction, cinematography, choreography, music everything is good. This movie is a TTP {TOTAL TIME PASS} movie. When you enter the movie hall, you should leave behind all your worries of your life, go in with a clear mind & do not pay too much attention to small details. This movie has a lot to offer to the diversified audience. Action, Romance, Drama, Dance, Emotional Moments, Fantastic Music & a very attractive lead pair. This movie does have some sexist jokes which should be taken in a light manner as it is NOT gross or vulgar in any way. Plot is good, set in modern day Haryana. Although it is copy of the Telugu Film "PARUGU" (Veerta: The Power). See it for the amazing stunts done by Tiger Shroff, the utterly gorgeous Kriti Sanon, Prakash Raj in a different look than his usual gangster character. Emotions are also portrayed beautifully by Prakash Raj & Tiger Shroff. Overall, its a Bollywood entertainer with a fresh cast & good content. Go for it!!

Heropanti is a routine good vs evil flick devoid of story and direction. What works is commendable performances and well-choreographed action stunts. As Babloo ( Tiger Shroff) support his friend who escapes with daughter of local mafia Prakash Raj, he falls in love with the younger daughter Dimpy ( Kirti Sannon) Babloo must fight to protect his friend and at the same time love of his life,Dimpy. Directed by Sabir Khan, whose previous work includes disastrous Kambakth Isqh, Heropanti is a typical love story we have seen on Indian screen ample number of times. The screenplay is poor with immature romantic track causing hindrance to the movement of the film. The director had made sure to make a masala potboiler for front- benchers and creates a senseless caper. The whistle tone ( originated from the HERO starring Jackie Shroff) irritates as it is repeated innumerable times the moment Tiger Shroff comes on-screen. Cinematography is eye-catching. Editing could have been better. However , action sequences played by Tiger Shroff , dialogues with witty one-liners are good. Hats off to Tiger for executing the near- to-perfection action scenes without any cables and body double. The hard-work clearly pays off and it is pleasure to watch the deadly stunts. The actor gives good one-liners with serious tone of his voice. He should probably work on his looks to have conventional hero attitude. Kirti Sanon shows ample promises and should go a long way. Overall , if you are longing for some great action moves, Heropanti is a one-time watch. Otherwise , you might want to skip it. Average 2.5/5https://www.facebook.com/FilmyChowk
