Very disappointed :(
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
View MoreWorth seeing just to witness how winsome it is.
The movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
View MoreDirector makes liberal use the "alternative facts " machine - completely deceptive. Don't waste your time watching this crap!
View MoreThere are many problems with the film, here are just a couple that nullify D'Souza's argument that Democratic Party remained the same as its dark days. 1) instead of looking at whether people switched parties mid-life and concluding the "big switch" is a lie, how about looking at the party KKK members belonged to and endorsed over time? 2) Trump and his associates idolize Andrew Jackson, openly talk about him as a model president. There you go, the Big Switch. The film's core argument quickly dismissed by the Trump Admin itself.
View MoreFake news. Should come with a warning. Seriously. Seems to be made from the point of view that politics is a war to win rather than a good faith effort to better our situation. This has a stink to it that can't be pardoned away.
View MoreAs a historian that went to law school and now works in the film industry all I can say is that I can't believe someone would make this in an attempt to deceive people who don't really know the law, American History or Film production. Where to start, well one of the very first thing they teach you in American political history at the college level is that between 1860's and 1930's the republican part and the Democratic Party essentially exchanges names. Their beliefs shifted. Therefore logically to say all those racist hateful democrats of yesteryear are the republicans of today. Well and it follows that all the nice republicans of yesteryear are....well you get it. Secondly legally, the director who apparently had time to plot his revenge chose the wrong people as he was prosecuted by laws whose biggest supporter was John McCain a republican! One of McCains great accomplishments was to pass legislation on campaign finance reform. Thirdly about the production value here, well its nonexistent. There's no value. Terrible acting, that's right acting in a so called documentary! Lol, and written in a way to create poor falsely depicted scenarios that vilify other races. What was he saying about racism? Lol this guy is not the sharpest tool in the shed, just an emotional convict trying to paint himself in an angelic light and is willing to try to manipulate others in what I consider an almost treasonous fashion.
