Diane Blaine has the face of a movie star. Unfortunately, fallen star/tabloid queen Jamie Stephens already made it famous. Hollywoods constant rejection due to what Diane refers to as "TJS" ("Too Jamie Stephens") has made her bitter, frustrated....and, yes, whiny. Co-worker/boyfriend Jack Sanders doesn't help matters. His idea of ambition is letting it ride. Now he's in major debt to a trigger-happy mobster who, interestingly enough, has a thing for Jamie Stephens. Jack's only way out? Convince Diane to be Jamie and wipe out the debt having one meal with a made man. It's literally the performance of her life. With Jack's on the line.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.

The Amazon write up pretty much tells the basic unrealistic plot, which is immaterial to the comedy. Nicky Whelan, the only real bright spot of the film, plays Jamie Stephens / Diane Blaine. Diane is attempting to break into the film industry but looks too much like Jamie Stephens to get cast. Along with her jealous boyfriend Jack (Chris Kattan) they work at a restaurant which has a new owner, Jean Luc Marceau (Jeremy London). London plays the role like Brendan Frasier with a bad accent. Diane used to pose nude for Jean Luc when she was in Paris. The movie takes some even more unrealistic turns when the mafia gets involved.David Spade plays a talk show host, providing us with some early humor. The movie was not well scripted. It managed humorous scenes, such as Diane's junk food binge, but not laugh out loud funny. At times the humor sunk to low levels, although we have seen worse. Collen Camp adds to her outlandish roles.F-bomb, brief sex, sex talk, nudity (Josie Goldberg, Tabitha Taylor, Meriah Nelson, Jessica McClain, Kristeen Reimnitz, Lexi Baxter, Nicole Oring)

Too much budget wasted on useless performances by a cast of many losers like chris kattan, david spade and norman mcdonald to name a few....trying to be funny is a far cry from actually being funny which is why this film is a disaster...the eye candy was thrown in to keep you from getting bored along with the sexual innuendos and language that caused this film to have an r rating...using nudity tastefully could have done it better...

I adore Chris Kattan. But I generally don't have high expectations for his movies. This one surprised me and left me in hysterics the whole time from his cuteness particularly in the first half to Norm MacDonald's sleaziness and the raunchiness of making a porn scene and other SNL alum such as Horatio Sanz, David Spade & Chris Parnell. Was also great to see Kattan work with Chazz Palminteri again, as they did in a Night at the Roxbury, but this time Palminteri's not such a friendly guy! Nicky Whelan was fabulous playing two roles. So if you're a goofball and looking for something to watch, I recommend this. Just make sure there are no kids in the room!

Look, I know, I know. Chris Kattan is definitely a red flag in a movie. And David Spade and Norm MacDonald are, let's say, erratic in the quality of their movies. SNL-cast movies tend to be based on a dumb premise with few gags to relieve the predictable tedium. But basically everything comes together in this gem. The pacing never flags, there are multiple nutty plot-lines that all weave together most satisfactorily. And Norm MacDonald is at his absolute deadpan best, constantly saying these lines that are some combination of disgusting and/or insane as though he's a sophisticated aristocrat having the most reasonable conversation in the world. This is a comedy that had me laughing from beginning to end --- and I'm a guy who stops watching most so-called comedies after 10 minutes because I haven't seen one thing that's funny or intriguing.
