It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.

There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

This felt like a dream come true for me. A meeting of the minds of Tarantino in the Twilight Zone in this cool dystopian futuristic film of vignettes. The writing has a fun yet suspenseful vibe and the themes played on me in a similar way that Black Mirror did. Great performances suspenseful writing with great twists and turns. Amazing score too! I am excited for more from this director.

Throwback to the anthology horror/farce film genre. This reminded me of anthology and vignette films like "Tales from the Crypt." Nice that they had the consistency of the same hotel/motel setting. Definitely an indie budget, reusing the same hotel rooms vignette after vignette. A bit more humor and outlandish farce than horror with a distinct altered or alternate reality feel in every Segment. If you enjoy strange realities like the Twilight Zone, you will love this. I really enjoyed Segment 4, Brain Robbers in Love - the comeuppance that smug uptight lady got was satisfying and poetic.

I got this for 2 reasons- I LOVE horror anthologies and I love horror movies that take place in a crappy small motel. The premise was there and I suppose these people have a following that I was unaware of before getting this movie (hence the extra star- oh and I liked maybe one of the stories) but this movie is campy to the point of extreme. It should actually be called a comedy and not a horror movie as, although it is a horror-comedy, it leans much more towards the comedy genre and the acting is complete crap!

Anthology feature films are quite rare these days, and this one - with its large ensemble and creepy hotel setting, is a winner. Sure, the film's plotting at times is a bit muddled, and the characters a tad repetitive. But you can't fault the cast and crew behind 'Horror Hotel' for attempting to put together something unusual, fun and retro. With its constant progressing from one situation to the other, with a very particular nighttime setting, and eerie motifs, it reminded me of 'Night on Earth' (1991, Dir. Jim Jarmusch) and 'The Company of Wolves' (1984, Dir Neil Jordan).
