This film is so real. It treats its characters with so much care and sensitivity.

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

One of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.

The plot was relatively dull. Being based on a true story, it lacked the drama, climax, suspense and mystery that one would expect from a manufactured plot. It seemed more like a video diary than a film. The directing was similarly disappointing. There were times in the film that appeared to be establishing something(such as the long scenes of just watching a character on a train/bus) but don't actually lead to anything. There were quite a few random camera effects (sound distortion, lowered frame rate) that did nothing but annoy me. Maybe there is deep symbolism, but it'd take an accompanying commentary to expose it.The acting was pretty bland. The actors seemed to suddenly switch from recital to emotion and back while speaking. Watching Rick feebly stack a mess of paper and Mark stare, looking bored, out a bus window while being talked to made me cringe. Such things were distracting and did not contribute anything to the movie.Overall: don't watch this, watch Bishonen. It is also a gay movie set in Hong Kong, but it is of much higher quality.

The movie is harmony, no matter you are straight or gay, as long as you follow your way, follow your feeling, you would find your future. On the other side, it also reflects the conflict between the society and the majority people. But even the gay's attitude seems not be accepted by most of the people, there are still some people, like Micky(friends), Rocky's grandmother(Relatives) will accept and support Rocky to choose his own way.Plz don't forget, everyone has their own dreams, to be a musician, staying together with his lover....etc. As long as we don't give up our dream easily, there is still some day we could make it come true.

A short movie. A simple story well told. The movie gives wonderful glimpses of Hong Kong reflecting the city and its the people, their lifestyle and attitudes. Rick's return home was fantastic : the Grandmother with her supplications to the gods, the unspeaking family; the "family" meals and the omnipresent TV. These contrast with he spontaneous pleasure of being with his friends ...and with Mark. The core sexuality issue was well handled. This movie just made me feel good !
