Lack of good storyline.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.

This movie is incredible and will be remembered down the road, simply because, something like this WILL happen in the future and that's the scariest part. will smith was the peak of his career. the cgi was very good for 2004. if you haven't seen this yet, do yourself a favor and watch it.

Call it something like "Super-Cop in Robotland" and it might have been alright, but call it I, Robot and it's really hard not to anticipate that the writers have at least read the book "I, Robot". The movie feels like someone briefly explained the creators that "It's like a book about Robots and there are these three laws and stuff" and then they wrote the script. If you like action you will probably enjoy it and the story is not without its moments, but if you're a fan of Asimov and like intelligent Sci-Fi then avoid it... or at least only watch it to get your rage on.

In a futuristic world where autonomous robots lived among humans according to three fundamental laws which made them unable to hurt any living soul, an unusual detective must investigate a case which might be related to the infringement of those laws. Seeming to be the perfect man for the job, due to his "hate" for anything robotic, he's going to uncover a mystery much deeper than anyone would have thought, which may put even the existence of humans into peril. It's a movie which bases its story in an unique world full of robots, which are seemingly faultless in their job of helping an protecting their owners, and introduces a deep mystery with many implications and severe consequences. The detective must act fast, against all odds and especially against his department, to solve the case before it's too late for everyone. We follow his complex, well described and presented character throughout many events, filled with action, drama, emotion and suspense until the case reaches its final steps. The plot is top notch, very well thought and put together, generating plenty of suspense and providing a very satisfying finale. The visuals are simply stunning, making you lust for more with every scene it depicts, the actors play their roles with style while the robots are very well portrayed, making the whole action very credible. It left me with a great feeling after each view (yes, I've seen it multiple times) and it doesn't get any less entertaining. It's simply a great movie which you like it so much that no matter how many times you see it, it will make you feel like the first time and this aspect makes it one of the greats. An excellent movie overall!

The movie I robot is the Isaac Asimov's book of the same name. The movie is about a policeman against advance technology, where people depend more and more on thecnology and less on themselves. In a near future where robots become a part of daily life in the cities to make easier the process. There are three laws that govern the robots: Law I: A robot may not harm a human or, by inaction, allow a human being to come to harm Law II: A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the first law Law III: A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the first or second lawThis laws may seem contradictory so they can preserve at all costs humanity. But when humanity doesn't want protection, what happens? If I order a robot to kill someone that may or may not harm, they must obey. But according to their laws they can't, because they are not killing machines. So the mere purpose of robots is to reduce to statistics and calculations so they can act, even against their owner. So their rules become null when there is a higher purpose at hand, they act on duty but we don't. https://pensarparaserfeliz.wordpress.com/2017/04/09/i-robot-and- minimalism/
