An erratic Troop Master Ted, Scout the talking raccoon, and Luke, an underpaid videographer, are tasked with creating a video survival guide for a local scout troop. They must spend five days in the wilderness teaching scouts how to start a fire, find water, pitch a tent, and tie a knot... or a tourniquet. Everything seems to be going as planned until Luke unintentionally intercepts a radio broadcast on Ted's walkie-talkie discussing an escapee from a nearby mental institution.
