When stubborn, spotty Kevin and his equally hopeless best friend Perry go on holiday to the party island Ibiza, they see it as their big chance to become superstar club DJs and, more importantly, to lose their virginities. But they aren't prepared for the interference of top DJ Eyeball Paul, not to mention the embarrassment factor of Kevin's long-suffering parents.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

It is interesting even when nothing much happens, which is for most of its 3-hour running time. Read full review

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

There are moments that feel comical, some horrific, and some downright inspiring but the tonal shifts hardly matter as the end results come to a film that's perfect for this time.

If you like the Kevin and Perry characters from Harry Enfield and Chums sketch show then you will like this film. The show is full of new and funny material, Enfield and Burkes performances as Kevin and Perry are great, I always found it funny how Burke as a woman played a horny male teen haha, and actually all of the actors did a pretty good job, especially considering that it's more of a tongue in cheek extension of a sketch show than a serious acting film. The soundtrack is excellent and really captures the trance music scene of the time. The kind of people giving this film low reviews I think are people who don't understand the film, haven't ever seen the Harry Enfield and Chums sketch show, and are probably born in a different generation so missed out on that as well as the trance music scene and things, probably thinking the film is supposed to be serious and wondering things like "why is a woman cast as a boy!" and "this acting is all exaggerated and unrealistic, teenagers aren't really like that" lol.

I've been to ibiza twice and i love movies, so a movie about ibiza sounds perfect. unfortunately, not in this case. this is definitely one of the worst movies i have ever seen. they have taken a very beautiful place - ibiza - and made a very disgusting movie out of it. its really sad that a person who is nearly 50 years old, and a woman of nearly the same age impersonate 2, 15 year old horny "mates". for gods sake Kevin looked older than his parents. maybe a little research would have helped these pathetic actors. they're so sad, they even don't know how 15 year old losers behave.very bad movie, and totally unfunny.1 out of 10 (and thats because it was filmed in ibitha only).

I'm not a huge fan of sketch shows. The UK-wide (and who knows, maybe by now even international) appeal of shows like "Little Britain" and "The Fast Show" are largely lost on me, running with one-joke 'characters' and one-liners ad nauseum. The Kevin and Perry characters, originally from the "Harry Enfield and Chums" sketch show, are no exception - basically a one-joke set-up that 'satirises' Bitish teenage boys. And "K&P Go Large" runs with the one-joke concept full steam ahead. This movie can be summarised with a counter - I lost count of exact numbers through boredom, but let's say "8 erect penis gags, 2 puke gags, 3 graphic slices of toilet humour, 5 'house-shaking-orgasms'"... and you'll get an idea of whether or not this movie is worth an hour and a half of your life. For me, it certainly wasn't! Certainly, sex comedies should be left to the Americans, who produce far funnier material in the "American Pie"s and "Porky's" of this world. The only thing to recommend - for fans of dance/trance music - is the reasonable soundtrack. Many users of the message board here associate this movie with "good British humour". Please, please don't take this as gospel - we Brits CAN make good comedies! I just need to go watch one right now, to erase the horrible memory of "K&P Go Large"...
