Life on a shelf as a snowman trapped in a snow-globe blizzard can become wearing, especially when you're surrounded by knickknacks from sunnier locales. When the jaded snowman finally breaks free of his glass house, his vacation plans are cut short.

Exactly the movie you think it is, but not the movie you want it to be.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

It is a funny animation movie. It is a story of toys, and main character is a snowman locked up in snow dome. He tries to exit from snow dome, but his trying never succeeds. The methods which he tries are interesting for audiences. It is also funny that his trying seems impossible at all for a toy. However, no matter how he does it, he cannot go out. Other toys are watching the trying snowman while laughing.I focus on following point. That is, it is animation movie. Advantage point is that animation can do that which human cannot or never happen. This can be said in this movie. Snowman lives in water because he is in snow dome. Human cannot do that. Moreover, there is a scene that snowman falls from high place. If he is a man, he would die. However, the snowman survives. One more advantage point is that animation character can express their feelings more clearly than reality world. Especially, their face expression is nice. For example, snowman express his sorrow by dropping his eyes, nose and mouth made of coal. It can indicate his deep sorrow. Human can never do that. I think this movie is good because we can recognize nice points which animation movies only have.

This film's art was great and very easy to understand. The snow globe snowman wants to come out and he tries several things to come out. This film is so short, though it has many points to laugh. Therefore, I thought the importance of creating a story is not the time, the content of the story is very important. The picture of the film looks like an old game and little bit weird, though I liked it because it's like watching an amateur film that is super. I felt bad for the snowman that he couldn't get out and have fun, but it was a short and good comic story.

I think I can glimpse the cultural differences between America and Japan. In this movie, the snowman tried to be close to a woman at first. However he tried to be closer to a mermaid after falling from the shelf. I think Japanese tend to be shy to the people who they meet for the first time. In contrast to this, the American tend to be friendly to the people who they meet for the first time. This movie express their character. This movie includes the lesson that getting greedy is bad. Japanese movies like Momotarou have such lessons and children read a lot when they grow up. But I think that this movie is based on the relationship between opposite sex in spite of being child-oriented. That influences the American characters. I think these are the cultural differences I noticed.

This is a story about toys. The main character is a snowman in a snow globe. Outside of the snow globe, many toys are playing in a warm climate and one girl asks him to come. He wants to go there to see the beautiful girl and wants to escape from the snow dome. He tries every method to get away from the snow dome, but he can't. Finally, the snow dome falls from the top of a shelf. Then he finds the way to get away from the snow dome. But then, unexpected things happen. The snowman's actions are always funny, but I felt a little sad because no matter what the snowman does, he is not able to meet a beautiful woman. This short film is very simple story and it is very funny. In this film, there is no dialogs, but the toys tell me what they want to say by using their body language, expression, their funny reactions and the BGM. This film does not require special language skills, so I suppose that every generation from children to adults can enjoy this film.
