Life on a shelf as a snowman trapped in a snow-globe blizzard can become wearing, especially when you're surrounded by knickknacks from sunnier locales. When the jaded snowman finally breaks free of his glass house, his vacation plans are cut short.

Pretty good movie overall. First half was nothing special but it got better as it went along.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

It's always incredible to see how fast technology moves in the modern age, and nothing shows that more than the evolution of 3D computer animation. Back when Pixar was owned by Apple founder Steve Jobs and merely six years before their first feature Toy Story, the animation studio produced several shorts that showed off the potential of their in-house software that would later go on to become Renderman. One of those shorts was Knick Knack, which follows a snowman in a snow globe as he tries to break out of his glass dome to join the other 'knick knacks' at a summer pool party. Although the animation is now considerably dated, particularly in the areas of texture detail and character motion, the humor still shines through to make it entertaining. Even so, the lack of a proper resolution to the story except for a cheap laugh means that it's unlikely you'll remember the short in the long term. The studio has certainly come a long way.

This film's art was great and very easy to understand. The snow globe snowman wants to come out and he tries several things to come out. This film is so short, though it has many points to laugh. Therefore, I thought the importance of creating a story is not the time, the content of the story is very important. The picture of the film looks like an old game and little bit weird, though I liked it because it's like watching an amateur film that is super. I felt bad for the snowman that he couldn't get out and have fun, but it was a short and good comic story.

This story describes a world of toys. The snowman in the snowdome falls in love with a woman, a doll. He wants to go to meet her and try to get out of the snowdome. He come up with different ways of escaping. He is clever. It seems that he fairly want to meet her. But he doesn't succeed in everything he does. I wondered where the tools he use to escape from the dome are there. I want to let him leave by taking the lid of the snowdome. The short movie doesn't have dialogue. It is only sound. The movie is colorful and the act of the snowman is very cute. Although this movie is very short, development of the story is quickly and interesting. The ending of the story is misfortune for him. I didn't image such things happen. He might think so, too. I felt pity for him after watching the movie. There are a lot of other short movie made by PIXARE like this. I want to watch other short movie.

The animation's main character is a snowman in a snow globe. We can know this snowman is an ornament from the title of this film. Although such a snowman is not usually a living thing, in this film, the snowman is acting like a human. In addition, this snowman strives to get out of snow globe, so it has sweetness. It's amazing! It is also interesting that there is an emergency exit in a snow globe. I wonder why a snowman could restore his condition soon when his face was broken into pieces, his nose is burned black and bent. I suppose such things can be realized on animation. The end of story is unexpected. I did't think he can meet another cute girl at the end. I think Pixar is good at an expression of stuff. I watched this film for the first time, but I remembered "Toy Story" through it. Some children, including me in my childhood, imagine if toys or stuff around us are taking or moving, and it must be enjoyable. Pixar can fulfill such children's dream. I have ever watched many Pixar's works but they always made me happy, so I think Pixar's works have the fantastic power again.
