Absolutely Fantastic

Good films always raise compelling questions, whether the format is fiction or documentary fact.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

I enjoyed watching this film and would recommend other to give it a try , (as I am) but this movie, although enjoyable to watch due to the better than average acting fails to add anything new to its storyline that is all too familiar to these types of movies.

KRAMPUS: THE CHRISTMAS DEVIL is another slice of indie trash cashing in on the now-popular Krampus legend. The story is about a bald cop with a sinister past who investigates the recurrence of a number of missing children cases and soon finds that there might be a supernatural explanation. I had high hopes for this story's plot, but in the end it turns out to be another boring exercise in torture porn tedium, with bad acting throughout and below-par production values. Indie regular Bill Oberst Jr. is the best thing in this but has little to do.

Krampus 2013 –The Christmas Devil - Is a (American ! ) B - film (low budjet) narration about Krampus (a beastly demon) by a low budjet film is the interpreting and implementing a bit less but perhaps "Krampus" 2015 what is also a B-movie is perhaps better .-In Austro-Bavarian Alpine folklore, Krampus is a horned, anthropomorphic figure who, during the Christmas season, punishes children who have misbehaved, in contrast with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well-behaved with gifts. Regions in Austria feature similar figures and, more widely, Krampus is one of a number of Companions of Saint Nicholas in regions of Europe. The origin of the figure is unclear; some folklorists and anthropologists have postulated a pre-Christian origin for the figure (see Germanic paganism). In traditional parades and in such events as the Krampuslauf (English: Krampus run), young men dressed as Krampus participate; such events occur annually in most Alpine towns.[1] Krampus is featured on holiday greeting cards called Krampuskarten.

The acting was pretty bad, it seemed as if they were just reciting a script with no emotion. The fight scenes were comical, the death scenes were bad, Santa was ...just wow bad. However, as far as horror movies goes, it is not easy to find good ones let alone enough to watch many times per year. With that said, I have learned to set my expectations very low for the horror genre. Even with all of what I said, the film was not that bad. I was still able to watch it without feeling like I was being tortured or without grabbing my phone/tablet and slightly ignoring the film.(I had to add more lines or I was unable to submit this so ignore the rest if you want) I'm not sure why so many people hated this movie, there are plenty of really bad movies out there. I have to assume they don't watch horror as often as I do (at least 1x a week) so they do not appreciate how hard it is to find new/unseen horror movies.

It's hard to say where to begin when telling you how bad this film is. I'm a fan of all sorts of horror, classic slasher movies, gore, clever...but not this. The acting is terrible and all involved just sound as if they're reading their lines from the page. Also appears to have been edited on Windows Movie Maker judging by the transitions. I'm all for a good budget horror, but this was almost unbearable. Storyline was pretty weak, with the addition of a separate storyline towards the end which seemed to have absolutely no relation to the film. Krampus wasn't mentioned for about 20 minutes then suddenly reappeared again. What? The only redeeming factor to this film is it's absolutely hilarious to watch Norris skipping across the snow in stealth mode, so if you were going to watch it turn it off after that. Merry Krampus, and don't waste your time watching this.
