In 1948, a cross-fire erupts at an isolated stretch of Indo-Pak border, leaving only two soldiers alive. One is an Indian soldier of Pakistani origin while the other happens to be a Pakistani soldier of Indian origin. An ironic story of pride and survival begins when - in an attempt to evade danger, they bump into each other. And amidst continuous exchange of bullets, altercations and murkier situations, it evolves into a journey of human connection with an unforeseeable end.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The film's masterful storytelling did its job. The message was clear. No need to overdo.

Story, screenplay, direction, acting, cinematography all excellent. Have not seen such a beautiful movie in quite a long time.I was not aware of the directing capabilities of vijay raj. He is known for his superb acting. But through this movie we got to see another side of him. I could not believe that this is the only movie directed by him. So brilliantly done.Manu rishi has also played his character excellently. The story of the movie is very sensitive, it portrays very beautifully the fate of the common people at the time of war.I believe this is a must see movie for everyone.

This movie depicts the war from the perspective of a common soldier, who like all of us is more concerned with family, jobs, home than overarching politics which forces them to fight and kill persons who very recently were their own kin.It is with sadness that I realize that as time passes the fact that India and Pakistan are political boundaries, a synthetic line drawn among people with shared history and culture is getting lost. We grow up with nationalistic fervor and the thoughts of rivalry and forget the shared commonalities among the people. The number of people who grew up across the border with deep friendships and relationships with people on the other side will be replaced by generations who have only known conflict and rivalry within the two countries. What an utter waste of human energies (the conflict ... not this film, the film is brilliant)

I am quite unable to understand that why did director and makers choose this stuff to convert into a feature film? This film is full of audio conversation without any interesting visual support. Actually the dialogues do not require any other things to be told in this movie. Perfect for the ambiance and requirement of a play. Only four artists were needed and two of them are main. Yes, few dialogues by Manu Rishi are really good. Subject is so old and told many times. This film also does not explore any new expect. Mainly only one isolated location is very difficult to digest in a film. First half of the film is anyhow OK type but second half is unbearable. This film posters and promo were sounding better than today's being released film and above all Gulzar Saab name is associated with this film. So, I preferred to watch otherwise I would not have taken the risk. Performance wise Vijay RaaZ is very good. Manu Rishi is good. Raaj zutsi and Vishwajeet Pradhan (Captain) are OK.
