A Masterpiece!
The film makes a home in your brain and the only cure is to see it again.

View MoreThe movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
View MoreSure it was a cheap film, but it was a cheap ZOMBIE film, so its fine. :)The main characters were interesting enough to keep you entertained. It was definitely setup that these guys are the same guys you probably went to high school with, not some former navy seals or special ops, just your average zombiepocolypse survivors making the best of it. It did start kinda slow, but built up, and by the middle of the film I had a moderate interest to see how it all ended up. The effects were a little cheesy, but I've seen much worse from other zombie flicks with much larger budgets. All in all, if you're willing to stick it out through a slow beginning, the film is a fun way to kill 88 min.
View Morehis movie is not as crazy as most zombie films that you see. It is a low budget film so they cannot use tons of CG or amazing make up. This was just some people who had a great idea and made a movie. Because it lacked a lot of the excitement from a normal zombie film, it was hard for me to get into it. But I respect them for making it. The view is more real life like. These three guys are just sitting around playing video games and eating. I mean most people would just do the same. What could you really do if the world was covered in zombies. The dialog is decent and actually entertaining at times which is good. The cast was fine, I couldn't really get into their characters, but they were not horrible. They manage to use a little bit of special effects to the points that count. The ending was not that good. I wanted more from it, and I did not get it. I will admit the film had a charm to it that I seemed to enjoy a little bit.
View MoreIt's really sad, because the box promises so much. But, even for a low-budget production, as this clearly is, expecting actors to be able to act shouldn't be too much to ask.It started off poor, and aside from a few grins now and again, just declined steadily from then on.The effects are shoddy, even for a low budget. Pasty plastic glued to a mans face to make him look like a corpse, loses any shred of conviction when his hands are all fleshy and tan.The acting is mediocre when it's at its very best, which it usually isn't. None of the characters are convincing, or even likable. The zombie kid, who couldn't stop laughing for the 3 second durations of shot, didn't help. The violence is inconsistent. I don't mind bloody murder - it's a zombie-flick after all. But a zombie-punt goes from funny, to ridiculous, to just too much when they keep pounding for 30 seconds. And really, how hard do you have to strike someone - even a living dead - over the head with a golf club, to completely sever the top of their skull? The music --- Well, better not to mention the music. And the story. Well, it's a zombie movie, riddled with clichés, which in itself is fine - had they only been well executed. And finally.. Seriously.. Fart jokes? One or two would've been okay. One or two for every 5 minutes of film, though? In conclusion, just don't bother. Rewatch "Shaun of the Dead" or "Zombieland" instead.
View MoreHorror comedy about three slackers who end up hooked up with a beautiful girl who may or may not have the solution to the zombie plague. You've seen this before, Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland come first to mind. Never mind whole sequences in the George Romero zombie films. Its the sort of film that makes you wonder why this was made when the filmmakers aren't really bringing anything new to the table, even though it kind of feels like they think they are.Actually thats wrong, they do bring one spectacularly great thing to the table, the opening news sequence. The opening sequence of one of our heroes going through a deserted city inter-cut with news footage of riots and police and officials talking of the problem is brilliant. Its the sort of thing that raises the bar in similar films and makes you wish that the rest of the film was on that high (classic) level. After that its all down hill and while the film is amusing, it never is great again.Worth a look for zombie fans. All others may want to think about it first.
