brilliant actors, brilliant editing
Not sure how, but this is easily one of the best movies all summer. Multiple levels of funny, never takes itself seriously, super colorful, and creative.
View MoreThe movie is surprisingly subdued in its pacing, its characterizations, and its go-for-broke sensibilities.
View More.Like the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
View MoreThis film is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. I loved it. After watching it through, the opening with the balloons had even more weight to it. Nothing was spoon-fed to me as a viewer. It was gorgeously shot. The choices that Christopher Holmes and Christopher Schneider made perfectly stated the atmosphere. The way they worked with color and framing completely complimented the pacing. Watched it on Blu Ray, but I'm sure the DVD will do it justice. Holmes is a filmmaker to watch for in the future. There was a wonderful Terrence Malick feel to it and it was poetic character piece I enjoyed from start to finish. Joshua Brady did an outstanding job in the role. Can't recommend this enough for film fans. Your'e in for a hidden gem.
