Very very predictable, including the post credit scene !!!
View MoreExcellent but underrated film
Simple and well acted, it has tension enough to knot the stomach.
View MoreThe movie is wonderful and true, an act of love in all its contradictions and complexity
View MoreI have to admit, I haven't gotten around to watching the movie yet, but the song Chori Chori Chhora Chhori has one of the sexiest beats I have ever heard in an Indian movie before! One of my most favourite songs, with the sensual beat, the saxophone and the ever so provocative 'Just like that...' at the beginning. I understand that, because I have not actually seen this movie, my interpretation of the song might be completely off base, but there is definitely something seductive about the beat. If you don't get around to watching the movie, DO get around to hearing the soundtrack. Ten stars for that song alone!
View MoreThe movie cover doesn't look like much but your ordinary crappy Indian films with sappy love stories. This movie was entertaining from the start, really great humor, and aftab did a great job with his acting and facial expressions, i seriously rewound the film just to see those faces over n over again. Vivek did well, his acting showed why hes getting great roles these days. Ritesh was also pretty good for someone I haven't heard of. This movie really made me laugh and caught me off guard and kept me tied in to the very end with its many twists and turns. No blood/gore, some action to break the monotony, the suspense was really great, and was long enough and short enough to be enjoyable, the quirks were great as well. Sit down and watch this movie with an open mind and with the subtitles on if you don't understand the language because the dialogues are hilarious. Sometimes it was stupid with certain characters that you will be annoyed with, but looking past that its a great film overall.
View MoreThe best scene in this movie was the pro wrestler mother-in-law!! OK and maybe the Crying Game scene...Absolutely hilarious! The rest was regrettably forgetful. Sorry Vivek, but how realistic was your OVERNIGHT fashion change! From greasy to gorgeous in no time flat? There were too many questions and loose threads with a too convenient and predictable ending. First question: Why did no one inquire after Sonia? Second question: Why did the guys not question that they fell in love with the same woman? Loved the song & dance sequences, but this movie could have been 30 minutes shorter. It took too much time to tell a too predictable story. The only person pitiable was the worshipful wife. Sorry guys.
View MoreI kinda dig the idea of Bollywood films- you know saturated colours, lush decor, amazing outfits and so on- but I never really rent them, since I am quite afraid of the song and dance numbers and the story lines are too highly dramatic.I have seen about 4 Indian films- Agnivarsha, Kama Sutra and Monsoon Wedding and Masti, and I suppose the last one is the only Bollywood one and I really enjoyed it. Kama Sutra wasn't much to talk about, Agnivarsha was excellent, but more esoteric, so between Monsoon Wedding and Masti- I think Masti takes the cake.Monsoon Wedding got quite big here and it was such a trivial story- it started with a promise for something and wound up in nowhere bland land +offered no eye candy. Masti on the other hand doesn't attempt to run for an Oscar and is absolutely fabulously enjoyable and stoked with pretty people and pretty decor and even the music numbers are cool- I watched them.
