It isn't all that great, actually. Really cheesy and very predicable of how certain scenes are gonna turn play out. However, I guess that's the charm of it all, because I would consider this one of my guilty pleasures.

The tone of this movie is interesting -- the stakes are both dramatic and high, but it's balanced with a lot of fun, tongue and cheek dialogue.

I have just one question? What was that with the ending? How did it all of a sudden turn into a musical/Bollywood film? The real-life lesson: not much to reflect on here, with the exception maybe that karma will get you and that evil can not dominate forever. Quite general this, and not shown properly. Plausibility: I don't even want to go into plausibility since this is supposed to be a fairy tale so I am not going to discuss the implausibility of obvious factors such as magic for that reason. But, I will however discuss the plausibility of falling in love with someone you see only once and twice liken the prince did with the princess. What the prince felt was not love as he says (well at least in real life) it was just a crush, he was feeling attracted to the princess because she found her beautiful and attractive. It is true in my opinion that you can become obsessed with a person that you have a crush on or think is attractive but calling it love as the prince did is just a deception. Not just the prince, real-life people too do believe that they are in love in this situations but as I said being in love takes far more. Acting: great acting from the leads. Julia Roberts was so great it made you like the villain. Lily Collins was surprisingly good too and so was Armie Hammer. Plot and storyline: The story line begins great with a plot making you question was is going to happen next but this only lasts until the middle of the movie since after that the plot falls flat and the ending can be guessed and expected. Overall, I would recommend it, it makes you laugh and is quite enjoyable.

After hearing for years how this movie was a bore, I though another tale of snow white, good job there Hollywood. But then I saw this added to Netflix Japan and I gave it a go. To my delightful surprise this movie was humorous and colorful. I'm not saying there weren't predictable parts or a bit of cheese. But overall there were so many silly parts I found myself laughing out loud. If there's any reason to watch this movie it's the comical back and forth between the seven dwarfs. The colors were so vivid that you might have thought Wes Anderson chimed in now and then. The only part I got second hand embarrassment from was the song at the ending, it was just a bit off.

Between animated versions, live action version, takeoffs, homages, television show, etc. of the classic Grim fairy tale it is entirely possible you've seen this version before and have just lost track. An A-list celebrity stars as the protagonist despite being the bad guy but this isn't "Maleficient". That is a separate movie, the difference being that movie involves a re-contextualization so that we see things from the antagonist's perspective although that movie isn't "Wicked". That was musical based on "The Wizard of Oz" presumably the original not the remake with James DiFranco. Basically, Hollywood is so out of ideas that it's becoming difficult to keep track and maybe you should just watch it even though you may or may not have already seen it. See enough current titles and you've seen every plot ever used in the last 10 years anyway. In short, entertaining if a whole lot derivative.

It was not completely unwatchable, but for the money they spent making this film, you would think that they would have worked their imagination a little harder. The movie tries to be funny, but when you have to make such an effort, it usually falls flat and this one landed with a thud.Lily Collins does look a little like Snow White, and she does seem like a sweet girl, but this movie has the feel of people wanting to do something nice for her famous father, Phil Collins. Also, with such a big budget, you would expect sets and wardrobes that match the money spent. Instead, it actually looks and feels cheap. I suppose all the money went to paying stars like Julia Roberts, who was quite unconvincing in her role.In future retelling of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs", "Mirror Mirror" will be a good reference of how not to ruin a perfectly good fairy tale.
