This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

When I came across this on Amazon Prime, I watched it on a whim, thinking it would be your typical cheesy, but possibly entertaining, B-movie. What I got was a great D&D movie. I mean, it was orders of magnitude better than those crummy movies that were actually made under the D&D license. The people that made this really understand their source material and clearly have a great love for the hobby. Yes, some of the effects/creatures might be a tad on the cheesy side but, overall, this is a fantastically entertaining film, with great acting, wonderful costumes, and exciting action sequences- as well as beautiful set locations. Given that it was probably made on a relatively low budget, I find this astonishing.I was ecstatic to learn that there are 4 other films in the series and plan to see them all. I gave the movie 7 out of 10 stars.

Take every standard fantasy cliche from popular fiction, role playing game conventions, fantasy cosplay etc and behold you get Mythica! A series of predictable adventures at the fan fiction level of writing, acting and effects. There is a good chance that as you watch this you will find yourself thinking, "this is just like..." or, "this reminds me of..." Ut's not exactly bad though, it's just that there is absolutely zero originality. The creatures, the characters, the quest(s) lack any sense of genuine depth, and are entirely derivative. With that said, I didn't dislike it. I just wish it was more genuinely creative and compelling.

Let's say you are bored to death and there isn't anything good on theaters, Netflix, Amazon, HBO, etc. Then, you watch this movie to kill your time. It's not a terrible movie, not a good one either. The low budget shows and the regular acting too. I give it 6 stars for the effort, but I won't see any of the sequels.

I originally helped this on Kickstarter and once i got to watch it i saw first 10-15min and turned it of, but then many years later i had nothing to watch and thought i would watch it and give it more of a chance and found myself impressed and looking for next one. All in all long as you don't mind it being a low budget movie and into fantasy then this i would say give more than 10-15 min and you'll prob find yourself trying to find next one
