Sam and Dave are living the boring life until they are beckoned to Sam's uncle's Island. When they get there (still not quite sure how that worked) they are compelled by beautiful women and a dastardly enemy of the Island. After accidentally convincing Sam's uncle to sign away rights to his island, they must somehow fix the problem.

At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Mostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.

I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

I personally laughed through this entire film. You can't watch this movie expecting to see an Oscar worthy film. It's a movie you watch when you set your mind to a euphoric state. You have Corey Haim who, as usual, is hilarious. Corey Feldman who, as usual, is witty. I found that the uncle "Stuck in the past" is amazing, and it really was like a live action cartoon. The sound effects really made you notice the cartoon feel. Zelda Rubenstein is in it, playing an old Hermit. Geoffrey Lewis plays in it as Uncle Rex. If you want to enjoy this movie to it's fullest you cannot take it seriously. I can't stress that enough.

Corey Feldman stars as a young entrepreneur with his virtual reality-obsessed sidekick (Corey Haim) as they try to help their uncle (Geoffrey Lewis) save his resort from the hostile takeover attempt of a deranged corporate raider (Robert Mandan) bent on procuring ownership of the island for himself.Along the way, the boys don't see any harm in having a little fun with a pretty scuba diving instructor/exotic dancer (Maureen Flanagan) if they can all stay clear of the carnivorous iguanas, pink seahorses, and giant beach balls. Maple Pictures' wild National Lampoon summer comedy is OK if you like the two Coreys and have lots of hard liquor on hand.

I thought it was going to be reaally bad at first, but then it turned out to be so bad it was hilarious. I love this movie, and even my boyfriend-who first looked at me as though I was insane for putting it on-decided he loved it too. It's just, so outlandish, it's great. Plus who can help but love the Coreys? Yes, the plot is silly, and the sets weren't realistic--but that is the point. It's supposed to be an all around silly movie. It is a great choice for hanging out with some friends and just laughing. Especially if you like Corey and Corey! So, if you like to laugh at outrageous lines, costumes, sets, and overall acting...then you will like this movie.
