A Masterpiece!

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

There are moments in this movie where the great movie it could've been peek out... They're fleeting, here, but they're worth savoring, and they happen often enough to make it worth your while.

Pearl (Dana Patton) is a female vigilante who hates drug dealers, men, and acting lessons. She is going after a guy named Trey and kills a bunch of people getting to him.The film is low budget. While she kills a bunch of people, they only had money for one graphic scene. The sound track sucked and the sound was borderline. There are some cops after her who attempt to give us a reasonable subplot, but they weren't used enough. Eddie Murphy trivia abounds in an attempt at humor.Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity. Girl on DVD cover is far better looking than anyone in the film.

Forget Netflix and Chill, this is Duct Tape and Torture! The filmmakers have taken the Revenge Film Genre and applied it with a touch of grace to one of the grittiest areas in NJ. As such, Jersey City (an NYC suburb) and it's surroundings serve not only as a setting but also as a character. The lead actor (Patton) does well with her interpretation and portrayal of the "kill and torture everyone in sight" vigilante that everyone from Charles Bronson to Brandon Lee burned into our collective consciousness over the years.Overall it was well shot, decently acted (with a hat tip to non-traditional casting) and not a bad way to spend part of your evening. Only wish the original poster had been left on the film to prepare you for what it is. I have to guess that it was a distributor's idea to change it for click bait.

The absolute worst acting, camera work and screenplay I have seen for 20+ years, for this to be released in this day and age is an atrocity.....how this gets anything above 1 star is well beyond me...when you have watched things like 'along came a spider' and the likes, this should have been much, much better to get any audience, assuming the budget was $5.....it really was that bad.... There seems to be a good idea in the story, a female assassin with a ruthless need to avenge her fathers death, and the cinematography (if that's the word) ruins it all by having the need to make the fight scenes so fake, similar to mainstream wrestling, the punches miss by inches, the cut/blood scenes are clearly just powdered makeup, the music is terrible, the police are useless, I am really speechless on this one...

I thought this was a good indie action movie with a kick ass female lead character. It's nice to see a female lead that doesn't just distract enemies with sex, and it didn't center on a love story just because the lead was a female. The comic relief sidekick was great. It helped lighten up a dark and murder-filled plot. I think considering this was a no budget movie they did a better job than most Hollywood action movies at actually telling a story. | It was nice to see diversity in the main characters too- a female, a senior citizen, Asian, African-Americans... Also enjoyed recognizing all the NY/NJ area locations.
