Better Late Then Never
I gave this film a 9 out of 10, because it was exactly what I expected it to be.
View MoreIt is a whirlwind of delight --- attractive actors, stunning couture, spectacular sets and outrageous parties.
View MoreOne of the film's great tricks is that, for a time, you think it will go down a rabbit hole of unrealistic glorification.
View MoreSweet & sour. Good themes of friendship, trust, putting others needs before your own. Didn't like the commercialism and the focus on needing to shop all the time. Also these girls are focused on clothes and shopping - fashion is a key value. Also blatant advertising for Popsicle - are they owned by Mattel? There was an evil stepmother which some object to, but overall I liked it. Polly was always nice - even when facing adversity, and bounced back from bad news - good lessons for my girl to emulate. My 7 year old daughter is Polly crazy (an understatement) and we've watched this about six times so far. She can watch it over and over and over and enjoy it. We are up for another Polly movie.
