Horrible, fascist and poorly acted

As somebody who had not heard any of this before, it became a curious phenomenon to sit and watch a film and slowly have the realities begin to click into place.

Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.

I can't believe I waited this long to watch this movie. I haven't been liking Sharukh movies for awhile, since Rab Ne Banaya Jodi. His latest one was also not enjoyable, Harry met Sally or whatever. However in Raees, his chemistry with everyone, especially the contrast with Nawaz, was exceptional. I loved the chemistry between the actress here too.The bhai jaan Saadiq was also superb. I loved their phone call at the end. I am going to watch Fan next. I have been looking to get back into Bollywood but Salman Khan and Aamir Khan have been major disappointments. Both Salmans and Aamirs wrestling movies were ridiculous. Salman's Bajrangi Bhaijaan was first class though. I would put Raees below Bajrangi, but it's good.Raees shows the corruption throughout the system. The character Raees was also quite corrupt and the end justified his corruption. He did have good intentions but was corrupt. It shows it's tough to be impactful in this sad society without being corrupt, and in the end no good came of it anyways. Sad society, sad movie. 10 on 10. I hope Fan is as good.

This movie is awful. In a nutshell. From get go, the story rambles around laughable black market of local liquor. And it never stops. Hysterical fake action by Mr. Khan did not help. The item number still shows the over immaturity of Hindi movies in a whole. Its a movie that really misused the talent of Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

This is one of the worst movies made and acted by SRK. The only character who performed and bring to the level of "actually viewing" was Nawazuddin Siddiqui. Movie has no concept, just revolves around protagonist named "Raees" - he could do or become what ever he want "like God". I really not able to understand why SRK is actually doing this movies - being such a talented actor and how can Indian public actually like this movie!, and most important why-why-why Bollywood is making this kind of stinking movies !!In the end I like to say and sum-up, in nutshell, this flick is for those who have an IQ of 01. end.

Shahrukh Khan is a superb actor but that does not necessarily mean that all his films are interesting. Dear Zindagi for example went on and on and on despite excellent performances from Shahrukh and Alia. With Raees thankfully, the plot was very sharp and held the interest throughout. The story was quite different for a change, and well filmed, for the most part quite realistic.Expectedly Shahrukh and Nawazuddin Siddiqui gave stellar performances. Shahrukhs brother (not sure of the actor's name sorry) was also good as was everyone else in their roles, though these three are the main characters. The only set back was the unnecessary extra action scenes and the songs which were superfluous to the movie though I can appreciate the commercial necessity for better box office takings. In summary, Raees is definitely worth watching, do see it if you have not already.
