Load of rubbish!!

When a movie has you begging for it to end not even half way through it's pure crap. We've all seen this movie and this characters millions of times, nothing new in it. Don't waste your time.

It was OK. I don't see why everyone loves it so much. It wasn't very smart or deep or well-directed.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.

What begins as a promising premise, and remains so is immediately hampered by Dan Ewing and Tom Pockock's meeting. These ex-"Neighbours/ Home & Away" actors, and I use the term 'actor' loosely, undo any hint at danger in this dreadfully written script. The photography is good, the music quite good, but the 'acting' is absolutely appalling. Seriously, these guys and gals need to take some acting lessons or better still, spend some time on stage in the theater where actors learn how to act, not just pose for the camera. If they are graduates of established drama schools like NIDA or WAPA, then these schools have failed and should be treated as "Soapies feed factories. They sure as Hell don't teach acting skills. Dreadful script predictable to the end; characters so 2D they don't need to open their mouths; acting - just appallingly bad. what an abysmal entry that could have been so much more. Alas, it is a SyFy Channel movie transplanted to Australia at best. To think Dan Ewing is considered "an up and coming star". If he is, we're in trouble. He cannot, I repeat cannot act to save himself....or indeed this film.

Well that must be the slowest film I have ever had to endure. Seriously it is a nightmare. Want to know how slow exactly? I am actually writing this while it's still on so confident am I that I won't miss anything whilst I multitask. Who the hell writes lines like "The evil one is on the move again". (Just happened to overhear that right mow whilst typing). Aboriginal mythology, arguing brothers, one of the party a druggie,a pin up tanned teen swimming in the ominous creek..... Could it get any more clichéd? What I cannot understand is how supposedly imaginative writers cannot come up with anything original these days. Enough with the groups of youngsters partying in haunted houses/asylums or mythical aboriginal creatures PLEASE!

This film is a refreshing approach to film in Australia.Going into the film I did not know what I was expecting, one thing that I was certain of, was that if it was anything to do with Luke sparke then I was very interested, as he is such a great talentHaving Dan in the film along with a great ensemble cast makes this a must- see Australian film, I was lucky enough to see it on the Gold Coast at a special Gold Coast Premier and it's certainly didn't disappoint.Big congratulations to both Luke and the DOP Andrew Condor for such an incredible job, the beautiful sweeping vistas in this capture Australia at it's best, the direction from Luke is amazing - the tension between the characters is what drives this film and which makes you anticipate what is going to happen in the end.The surprise Twist at the end was certainly something that I did not see coming and it made a refreshing change from the usual films that rely on old and tired I wholeheartedly congratulate Luke, Andrew and the entire Team for such an incredible job, all the cast was superbly cast in their individual roles and the crew did such an amazing job but then again you come to expect that from Australian Crews.Do you see this in a cinema as you will get the full scope of what Luke was doing when he was directing the actors in the action, this is up there as one of Australia's top ten , really enjoyed it and I can't wait to see what the next installment from Luke will be

Red Billabong I absolutely loved it. This film is original, with a fantastic cast and brilliant writing and is something I feel everyone will love, not just a select few. I hope to see so much more movies from Luke and Carly. It's creativity and CGI is fantastic and the first of its kind, with a monster involved. It's a must see I'm going to go see it again with friends and family. Support this fantastic film. The film centres around two brothers.
