A lot of perfectly good film show their cards early, establish a unique premise and let the audience explore a topic at a leisurely pace, without much in terms of surprise. this film is not one of those films.
View MoreI think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.
View MoreLike the great film, it's made with a great deal of visible affection both in front of and behind the camera.
View MoreA young teacher tries to find out something about "the Game" that her pupils play in an abandoned wing of the school building after classes. The cliché-ridden script was co-written by overly prolific Dardano Saccetti('Demons', 'Zombi 2' and half a billion other Italian horror films) so do expect plot situations and twists lifted right out of 'The Beyond', 'The Ogre', and other films he scripted. It's a TV movie, so there's no gore in it, as in Bava's similar gore-free pseudo-horror shlock 'Graveyard Disturbance'. On a positive side, I'd point out the atmospheric opening sequence and nice music by the always reliable Simon Boswell(Stagefright).
