Purely Joyful Movie!
At first rather annoying in its heavy emphasis on reenactments, this movie ultimately proves fascinating, simply because the complicated, highly dramatic tale it tells still almost defies belief.
View MoreOne of those movie experiences that is so good it makes you realize you've been grading everything else on a curve.
View Morewhat a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
View MoreAfter seeing his previous show "Sean Lock Live" I was hoping for something equally good or better. Sadly this fails to deliver at all, even the audience seemed at times to laugh out of awkwardness. I expected better from Sean, he is regularly funny on "QI" and "8 out of 10 Cats" and on his previous stand up tour.At best this show reaches average, I smiled once or twice but I didn't laugh once. Hopefully this is just a blip in his career and his next show will reach the heights of his previous routines. I found this painful viewing at times and his little giggles at his own jokes became annoying after a while.3 out of 10.
View MoreI obviously first saw him on 8 Out of 10 Cats, and I was looking forward to seeing another live stand up performance, and when I heard about this one I was most interested. Sean Lock plays to a large audience at live at London's HMV Hammersmith Apollo, and when I heard the title I assumed it was some kind of audience interaction thing where he talks about suggested subjects or something. It wasn't that at all, it was the simple discussion of many random subjects to make the audience laugh. The subjects he discusses include shopping in Lidl, how he likes to skive, his opinions on some celebrities, like Madonna, his opinions of talent/reality shows, wearing glasses, and much more that is good and funny. Announced by The X Factor's Peter Dickson. Very good!
