Too much of everything
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
View MoreLet me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
View MoreThe movie's neither hopeful in contrived ways, nor hopeless in different contrived ways. Somehow it manages to be wonderful
View MoreI was so spell bound by the action, images and musical score that I watched all four episodes twice. I tried to imagine the hundreds of hours the film crew spent on locations above and below ground and water to capture the enthralling footage in such colour and flowing action. The mix of extreme close ups, zooming and panning shots of sunsets, sunrises, prey and predators in their natural environment keeps the action moving and the mind fascinated. This is truly moving visual art at its best. Maybe there is some way to improve this four part series but I have no idea how, unless done in 3D with IMAX. The dialogue is concise, simple and matches the visual very well. The music is modern and current and pulls the viewer/listening in for a total sensory experience. If I were teaching biology in grade school, junior or senior high school I'd be showing this series for sure. I plan on sharing this with my family soon. I want the producers to know of my appreciation for the time, expense and creative energy it took to pull this four part series together. This is a major contribution to the increasing body of work of animal biologist, scientists and movie makers.
