This is a coming of age storyline that you've seen in one form or another for decades. It takes a truly unique voice to make yet another one worth watching.

When his entire workforce (and his little dog!) is massacred by land- grabbing badman Fernando Sancho, fancy-pants lawyer/mine-owner Sean Flynn is schooled in the tough-guy arts by his surviving foreman and the foreman's rowdy former Army buddies.Despite a terminally low budget and some extreme silliness, there's some mild fun to be had here, including a furniture-busting bar-room brawl, no doubt inspired by the one in Dodge City, which starred Flynn's famous dad. Sancho is always entertaining, even though he always plays the same character in just about everything he's in.It would appear that the entire music budget was spent on a snappy (though pretty bad!) theme song, with the rest of the score being some pretty obvious library music, which lends to the crackpot nature of the film. After watching Flynn here, it's easy to see why his career didn't take off. Unfortunately, his career as an adventurer was equally as short- lived.

Funny Spaghetti Western with humor , shootouts , action ,violence and amusement . The story is similar to previous classic film ¨The magnificent seven¨ , adding ¨Dirty dozen¨ wake , including customary outlaw band formed by an eclectic gang with diverse speciality , as dynamite or guns . This Western comedy gets action Western , exciting riding , shootouts , it's funny and entertaining , although nothing new but displays a Spaghetti/Trinity style . This serious-comic Western deals with an ex-sergeant named Corky (Poldo) decided to take a group of ex-soldiers and strike a blow against the Mexican bandit Sancho Rodriguez (Fernando Sancho) who has besieged a mine and is devastating the small town called Straton . Corky goes to Federal prison and frees a bunch of misfit thieves and other prisoners . As the group is formed by a cocky card player (Frank Oliveras) , a drunk fat (Tito Garcia) , Brett Colton (Spartaco Conversi) and a gunslinger (Daniel Martin) who seeks vendetta against Rodriguez . The motley group join forces with the young man , Timothy Benson , he's a dandy lawyer wearing elegant clothes who inherits a mine that has been taken by wealthy land-grabbing Ramirez . His mentors are six sympathetics crooks who teach him to shoot and ride . The film contains action-Western , shootouts , fist-play, humor with tongue in cheek and is pretty bemusing . It's an entertaining film with enjoyable comedy in the wake of Trinity . It's an exciting western with breathtaking showdown between the protagonists and the enemy led by the great Fernando Sancho along with his hoodlums . The film blends violence , thrills , high body-count and it's fast moving and quite entertaining . There is plenty of action in the movie , guaranteeing a shootout or stunt every few minutes , including a spectacular final duel on a river between Fernando Sancho and Daniel Martin . This is a passable Spaghetti Western with some moments genuinely entertaining if you can avoid thinking too much . Agreeable casting with a likable Sean Flynn as a naive East young man and Ida Galli or Evelyn Stewart as a gorgeous girl looking for the dreamt prince . Sean , son's Errol Flynn , made a few more films in Europe, in all of which he was extraordinarily handsome but not particularly skilled or at ease before the camera. He leaved cinema and became a legendary figure in military and journalism circles but in April , 1970, while covering the widening of combat to the border areas of Cambodia, Flynn disappeared . This is a co-production Spain-Italy and for that reason there appears usual secondaries from Paella or Chorizo Western as Daniel Martin , Tito Garcia , Rafael Albaicin and Western all'Italiana actors as Frank Oliveras , Osvaldo Genazzani , Spartaco Conversi , among others . The musician Guino Peguri composes a vibrant soundtrack and well conducted ; including a catching leitmotif and considered to be one of the best . Atmospheric scenario with barren outdoors, dirty landscapes under a glimmer sun and a fine sets with striking cinematography by Victor Monreal in Eastmancolor with negative regularly processed , being necessary a right remastering . Interior filmed in Alfonso Balcazar Studios and outdoor sequences filmed on location in Fraga (Huesca) ; Alfonso Balcazar built a Western town in Spuglas of Llobregat (Barcelona) and along with Tabernas (Almeria) were the main locations where in the 60s and 70s were shot innumerable Spaghetti and Chorizo Western .The motion picture was professionally directed by Romolo Guerrieri , though with no originality , being pretty predictable . Romolo is a good craftsman who has directed all type of genres such as post-nuke Sci-fi as ¨ The last warrior¨, Italian crime or Poliziottesco as "Young, Violent, Dangerous" , ¨City under siege¨ , "Ring of Death" and western as ¨10.000 Dollari per un massacre¨ , Johnny Yuma¨ and this ¨Seven guns for Timothy¨.

With a title like "Seven Guns For Timothy", it doesn't take very long to determine what American movie was the inspiration for this spaghetti western - "The Magnificent Seven", of course. However, this particular rip-off decides to tell the story in a mostly comic vein. Despite all the attempts at humor throughout, this movie is a real stinker. Though it's a comedy, it opens and closes the movie with violent massacres that don't fit well with the rest of the movie. There's no real attempt to differentiate each of the seven gunfighters with each other, and as a result they act completely alike. Errol Flynn's son Sean lacks charisma and only seems to have been hired because he was the son of Errol Flynn. But the biggest sin the movie makes is how boring it is, with feeble attempts at humor and an EXTREMELY SLOW story. It's no wonder this movie has fallen into the public domain - who would ever think it was worth the expense to renew its copyright?

Errol's son Sean Flynn plays Timothy, a young lawyer who inherits a gold mine. The bandit Rodriguez (or "Sancho" in the German dubbed version, played by Fernando Sancho) tries to get hold of the mine by killing Timothy, but soon finds Timothy is not alone. Five experienced fighters teach the young man everything he needs to know about riding, shooting and drinking (!), and with the help of a silent stranger, they become "seven magnificent guns" ("Sette magnifiche pistole") to fight the bandits."I never get into trouble with the law - I am the law!", Rodriguez/Sancho once exclaims, and his oh-so typical role is pure bliss. The education of a greenhorn to turn him into a real westerner is hardly a new story, but told with enthusiasm. Even if the picture is flawed, obviously made with a low budget and suffering from lack of originality, it is surprisingly entertaining. The secret is probably its simplicity: it delivers what the audience expects. So be it.
