The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;
View MoreMostly, the movie is committed to the value of a good time.
View MoreGreat movie. Not sure what people expected but I found it highly entertaining.
View MoreThe story, direction, characters, and writing/dialogue is akin to taking a tranquilizer shot to the neck, but everything else was so well done.
View MoreI really like kangana but the whole story and everything is trash ( songs are great tho ) after where simran starts losing all cash, the film gets boring .. very bad overall
View MoreHorrible characters horrible plot ... dint expect this from kangana
View More5 points only and only for Kangana's acting. The movie is hopelessly unrealistic. In an era of Smartphones in which the movie's story line is going on, how can someone rob banks one after another SO easily! Agreed that there will always be a difference between movies and reality but the kind of difference this movie has, makes it qualify for the 'fantasy' category. Other than that, the movie was unclear and incomplete on various other points. Praful's (Kangana) father is shown so chilled out in the end in the jail sitting next to a daughter charged with robbing multiple banks but bursts into flames on the topic of stock markets!!!! What's the logic!! Just because theoretically you can show anything in a movie doesn't mean one should make that practically happen!
View MoreI walked into the movie theatre with no preconceived idea of the movie. The ticket was just 90 bucks and it had Kangana as the lead. How bad could it be? Very Very Very bad.It is very easy to shake of a bad 'commercial' star film. Almost all of them are bad and no one really takes them seriously. However , it is much more frustrating to watch an amazing performer like Kangana get caught in an awful script which she apparently wrote herself!The movie starts of very nicely. Watching an independent , hardworking NRI woman let her hair loose in Vegas was immensely fun. If the film had followed that path of her balancing work and play we would have all had a good time.The films plot goes awry when our heroine loses all her money to gambling and ends up owing money to a shady gangster type person. Instead of trying to work for it or report to the police about the goondagiri of the moneylenders she decides to coerce her father to give money. When doesn't work out she plans to rob a bank acting like she is carrying explosives.Read more in my review here:- https://assortedboxblog.wordpress.com/2017/09/29/oye-simran-arey- kingsman/
