Awesome Movie
A very feeble attempt at affirmatie action
The first must-see film of the year.
It's a good bad... and worth a popcorn matinée. While it's easy to lament what could have been...
View MoreMarch 2011:Getting asked by a friend to order a DVD of the deranged Greek Horror film Singapore Sling,I took a look on Amazon UK,and ordered the first result. When the disc arrived,I soon discovered that I had ordered the wrong Singapore Sling, which led to me throwing the "other" version in the corner of the room.October 2015:Preparing to write my 900th IMDb comment,I decided that it was time to pick up the disc, and finally make an alternative Singapore Sling. The plot:Sent to a Singapore jail on trumped-up charges, Michelle Drake agrees to get married to Adam Chance,in exchange for early release.Stealing Chance's family ring,Drake runs off to the US.Reaching the US,Drake soon gets involved with an oil baron dynasty.Breathing a sigh of relief,Drake soon discovers that Chance has decided to make his own Singapore Sling for her in the US.View on the film:Although she is sadly limited to a supporting role, Shannon Tweed gives a sweet performance as Lisa Blair, whose curling lips suggest that Blair knows far more than she is letting on.Appearing to have an allergy to bras (thankfully!) the sexy Rena Riffel gives a spicy performance as Drake, thanks to Riffel revealing Drake's innocent sex kitten looks to be keeping a quick-witted Femme Fatale lurking underneath.Sending Drake away from Singapore to the US,writer/director and co- star James Hong slides Drake into a world a glamour, with long, glossy tracking shots. Hilariously barking in the movie,Hong gives a delightfully greasy, slime ball performance as Chance, who soon discovers that Drake has made a Singapore Sling of revenge.
View MoreSingapore Sling 1999 is directed by James hong he also acted in this film what was this man thinking when he made this film he never cared about the characters, story or how to bring them close so at least a decent narration could have been formed but all efforts are wasted.the plot:Michelle Drake escapes from Singapore after getting arrested for some wrong doings she makes her way back to to USA & to ask for help from a oil company man but things don't go smooth as they seem a Singapore crime lord Chang Li comes after her because Michelle married him in order to avoid prison time.the cast:all of the cast is bad except Rena Riffel & Shannon Tweed my god this lady is queen of soft core genre but there is only one sex scene its even filmed badly Shannon don't have any more sexy scenes but is a Rena Riffel film entirely.there are plenty of other Shannon Tweed films way better then this i got the DVD and i was disappointed it holds zero entertainment factor and why the name is Singapore sling its not even filmed in Singapore.overall Singapore Sling 1999 is a below average effort from the makers my rating is 2/10.skipp it.
View MoreThis is one of Tweed's finest. Why would you watch this movie? Accept it, for it's sex scenes or if you are a big fan of Shannon Tweed. The sex scenes are steamy and long. Tweed acts like a real fox and really knows how to turn on the audience. There are in my opinion three memorable scenes: 1. Rena Riffel's long sex scene. Wow, this woman is so bendy and hot! Her butt is one of the best I've seen in these movies. Believe me, she's one good reason to get this movie. 2. Tweed's infamous real sex scene. The scene is old fashioned but kinky. Watch out for the "real" penetration. 3. Tweed getting savage, wild sex while doing exercise. That scene is like something any man would like to experience! It's sexy at it's best. Also, the last sex scene of the movie is pretty good. Tweed gets it from behind while wearing a sexy, short dress. Yeah, it's all that good.Watch this movie if you like soft core sex flicks. Also, if you are a fan of Tweed you will be in paradise!
View MoreGranted, this film about a woman who was forced into a marriage with a corrupt Asian businessman who escapes and returns to U.S. to return to the man who unknowingly was the one who planned this marriage to help his struggling oil enterprise is cheaply done, but three things make this film worth sitting through just once.1. Lisa Comshaw, who plays a Gentleman's club manager with a kind heart, delivers a convincing performance.2. Rena Riffel, the only person who can say she appeared in both Showgirls and Striptease, delivers an annoying performance as a country girl, complete with accent, but she's so cute and adorable that you can't say anything bad about her.3. James Hong, who directed and plays the businessman, has a scene where he's given a cowboy hat and he does a "Billy Joe Ho from the Dukes Of Hazzard" performance. Hilarious.Otherwise, you've seen this movie before, and Shannon Tweed does her usual phoned-in performance.
