View MoreSanta's heir (Steve Guttenberg) woos a widowed advertising executive (Crystal Bernard) who wants to use him in the biggest ad campaign of her career. Now the premise pf this film a cute idea. Fans of 1980's films might enjoy seeing Steve Guttenberg and thus his casting. Now the film moves fast. There is however something missing because the film feels incomplete. The film is "Family Safe". However the only people that might enjoy this is children under 12. Now if you happen to catch this film on Television watch it. It does have a few nice moments that saved this film from becoming a total bust!
View MoreTo me, the only annoying thing about the movie was Nick's laugh. I realize that as Santa, he has to "ho ho ho" sometimes, but I didn't like hearing it every single time he laughed. Other than that, it was a great movie. Crystal Bernard is beautiful and always likable and the kid who played her son was a doll, too. You have to remember that Christmas movies are, as a general rule, not going to be Oscar winners. You have to like the genre first, and if you don't, you probably won't like most Christmas movies and should stay away from them (while muttering "Bah! Humbug!" to yourself!!!!). This one is better than most.
View MoreThis Christmas movie is darling! It was quite refreshing (although that is an odd word to use) to show a single Mom as a widow, not as a divorcée. It seems that so many movies glorify divorce and single motherhood.I also agree with those that says that the wig used for Crystal was terrible! It was terribly distracting! They would have been better off to just let her have short hair. I don't know of anyone that always has her hair in a ponytail! Please note that there is a sequel and it is equally as darling (Meet the Santa's)!!I just wish that there was a final movie to view... where they settle into the North Pole!
View MoreI really enjoyed this Hallmark DVD. Crystal Bernard is stunning and a real delight to watch. I reckon it's her Texas beauty that makes her so gorgeous. Steve Guttenberg plays young St. Nick, and does a great job. This is one of those kind of movies that you wish could never end. If your single, male or female, give this movie a try. Thanks again Hallmark, ya'll did good on this one. This movie brought a tear to my eyes when Nick helps out the Dept. store Santa. You will have to watch this movie for yourself and see if it makes you feel good too. It is refreshing to see this movie because the last Christmas / Santa movie I saw was Billy Bob's horrid "Bad Santa" - lol.
