Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.
Sadly Over-hyped
Excellent characters with emotional depth. My wife, daughter and granddaughter all enjoyed it...and me, too! Very good movie! You won't be disappointed.
View MoreA film of deceptively outspoken contemporary relevance, this is cinema at its most alert, alarming and alive.
View MoreThis was an interesting short: It was directed by Rebecca Sugar (Who is mostly known for her work on "Adventure Time") and I particularly see it as some sort of throwback to the surreal cartoons from the early nineties (Like for example, "The Ren & Stimpy Show" and the first "Rugrats" episodes)It is mostly an exercise of style over substance, with the visual elements being more important than the narrative, but I honestly think that the final result is good enough to be worth-watching. The design of the main character reminded me a little the works of John Kricfalusi.Even when "Singles" isn't a masterpiece, I think that anyone who enjoys surreal and strange animations will find this to be watchable, at least.
