Self-important, over-dramatic, uninspired.

Fantastic!

A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."

The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.

In the near future a young woman becomes a sleepwalker; her body is programmed to do menial labor while she is asleep. However, she starts to suffer disturbing side effects and embarks upon a dangerous journey to uncover what sleepworkers are really being made to do while unconscious… As far as I am aware, this idea has never been presented before, and it is brilliant. Even outside of a horror setting, it would make a good concept and easily has some aspects that are thought-provoking. The tone reminded me a lot of "Gattaca", in a very good way.I would love to see this transition into a feature film. Much like "Mama" went from a short to a feature, I think there is a lot of potential here -- the short is good, but a world this complex could be stretched to 90 minutes without any difficulty.
