This Movie Can Only Be Described With One Word.
Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.
View MoreEasily the biggest piece of Right wing non sense propaganda I ever saw.
View MoreSaw this film today and it was great i liked the humor and the 3 leading actors it had too much action and a lot of time travel also some things reminded me of The Terminator Series and other sci-fi movies. For a low budget movie it had even some descent cgi and the slow motion scenes were pretty cool i don't understand the low rating i have seen worse movies than this. Overall it was a big surprise for me it had a lot of laughs, some great characters and even tho the story isn't something original it was a good action flick even if some of actors didn't have a good chemistry (the 2 cops for instance) it was a good film and i'm glad that i spend my time to watch it. Final Rating: 9 out of 10
View MoreI have to admit that I approached the time travel movie "Slipstream" with some hesitation when I saw that Louis Morneau was involved with the writing of the story. That's because years earlier, Morneau directed the time travel movie "Retroactive", which was next to incomprehensible. Happily, "Slipstream" proved to be a much better movie. The time travelling and the problems that it raises actually makes sense this time around, and it's easy to know what's going on. Also, the story plays out well, keeping up the viewer's interest and never getting boring. Though made on a low budget, there are some striking images and some good effects, though it's painfully obvious that this set-in-the-U.S. movie was shot in another country (South Africa, according to the closing credits.) Other problems include an obnoxious lead performance by Sean Astin, and a number of directorial touches that are way too flashy and pretentious. But if you're patient and can sit through rough patches such as those, you'll probably find this movie passable entertainment.
View MoreI actually registered an account with IMDb JUST so I could comment on this movie. I never actually thought I would say this in anything but jest, but... I am dumber for having seen this film. The gunfight scenes are anything but exciting, with the actors staring out into space with pained expressions. The time travel details were screwed up on multiple occasions. The focus was solely on SFX at the expense of a coherent theory of time travel. Folks, you don't have to get time travel right, but if you're gonna try, then stick to your own rules. The soundtrack was strange to say the least. Yes, some movies can pull off an odd song at an unexpected time to great effect. When you try to do it throughout the film, it just becomes sloppy and confusing.Poor acting, horrible science, bad directing and confusing soundtrack... This movie takes a fun premise and turns it into a painful experience.
View MoreThis almost feels as if a Schizophrenic was getting Alzheimers. Maybe it is a parody on the movie industry. However, when we work to show a purpose for living, I believe Sir Anthony is looking in vain if all there is to life is time. We are better than that. Movies portray the greatness of man and man at his worst. Each one of us touches other human beings and movie makers can make people think or let people escape. While this film may make one think, it is very confusing and it bounces off the wall. Great movies such as "The Lion in the Winter" was complicated, showed human weakness and human spirit. Sir Hopkins' role as the writer in this is just too strange to wrap one's mind around and understand. I could not escape nor could I relate to the characters with my life experiences. Therefore, I cannot rate this film highly.
