Pretty Good

Salubfoto

It's an amazing and heartbreaking story.

This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

Good job - a Christian movie, without the "come to Jesus" message, and no one got pregnant. I noticed a few setups and payoffs, so that was good. It looked like a student film, but it was in fact watchable. The story flowed, and it seemed to have a beginning, middle, and end. The production value could have been better, the acting was amateur (could have been the directing, the dialogue, the editing, or the talent pool), and the script needed another rewrite (it seemed a few key scenes and there needed more background info), but overall they made a movie that at least got on Netflix, which is better than most the filmmakers I know. I think in time they'll do higher quality work, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they can do .

Dude, Great movie for kids. Its like James bond without the sex and cussing! If you have little ones and want to be able to sit down without having you finger on the mute button like a kill switch, then this is right up your alley. I have to say this is quite a mark for Christian films, I would love to see more of the action packed spy genera pop up from Christians. I am hoping there is more where this came from! And if there is a favorite part in this movie for me it had to be when the protagonist goes to visit brick, brick is spastic and has the memory of a small rodent. Its like me on caffeine, in fact its like me right now... on caffeine.

RSTC is a clean, wholesome, exciting movie for kids. Its obvious goal is to teach kids about the Bible and specifically II Timothy 1:7, "God has not given you a spirit of fear." If you are looking for a good indie film then this is not for you; if you have a family with kids in elementary school, you will enjoy this film. Sure, the car chases are CGI and not the best, but I've seen worse on TV and at least they are visually compelling, and actually are interesting as CGI animation. I'm obviously a Christian and appreciate the scriptural message, but it's not so ram-it-in-your-throat as to be annoying to someone who is not a Christian. But it's not a movie I don't think for older kids (teenagers) and young adults unless they appreciate the message.Bottom line, if you have elementary kids and are tired of the Christian entertainment options or "kids films" that have unnecessary sexual innuendos or other questionable content, get yourself a copy of this film and enjoy it.

There is no way they spent $300,000 on this movie. $20k tops. It was obviously not shot on film (DVX100 is my guess). The actress was hot and the actor definitely thought he was. I felt sorry for the actress with the lines she had. I think the message of "God has not given us a spirit of fear" is a good one, but when a character overtly said it for the 126th time it was like a sledge hammer! The sound production quality was to par, the obvious goofie 3rd tier CG car scenes were, uh, not so much. Come on guys, not so corny next time. Witherspoon takes an explosion from dynamite from 2ft away and he only has black shoepolish marks on his face? Please please please attempt some form of believability. Oh, and the compression on every red shirt in this movie was super pixelated.
