Very well executed
Plot so thin, it passes unnoticed.
One of the worst movies I've ever seen
This movie was so-so. It had it's moments, but wasn't the greatest.
View MoreWell, after getting to watch Eric Roberts in "Stalked By My Doctor:The Return",I checked out the first film to learn more about Dr. Albert Beck's obsessions with patients particularly teen-agers in "Stalked By My Doctor".Brianna Joy Chomer, whom I have first seen in "The Wrong Roommate", co-stars with Roberts as the teen-age Sophie Green whom Dr.Beck is obsessed with.Being a Lifetime movie,we have the familiar predictable story when Sophie gets involved in an accident when her boyfriend can't keep texting while driving. She and her boyfriend were rushed in the hospital and who do you think is the doctor assigned? The up-to-no good doctor - Dr.Beck.After getting her back to normal,Dr.Beck starts to have a crush on Sophie. His feelings for her increases after the doctors has had misfortunes in trying to meet women on line on dates and when Sophie and her boyfriend start to distance from each other due to the accident. When Sophie was discharged, she also develops a crush on Dr. Beck after Sophie's family and her boyfriend started to become suspicious of him hitting on Sophie. But as always,Dr. Beck is brought is stopped before he could accomplish his sinister plans. And predictably, not by the police as always,as the doctor managed to escape from them. But in spite of it all,one would definitely enjoy watching it.No question that one would love Julia Roberts' older brother as the up-to-no-good doctor in his obsessions with different patients. It is a fact that the actor is enjoying himself in this B- movies with a wonderful performance and having fun on the set.Why not?Isn't Eric Roberts - the most prolific actor we have to day on TV?With those reasons mentioned,he makes it a better movie to watch at Lifetime Channel.Definitely,a lot better than many of the TV movies shown at Lifetime including those with the title "Stalked By My ______" movies.
View MoreOlder but attractive cardiologist Eric Roberts (as Albert Beck) is stood up while waiting on a date with a much younger woman. Leaving the restaurant, Mr. Roberts becomes unhinged and drives his car over 100 mph, apparently headed for a crash The story abruptly switched to a soccer game. Pretty high school senior Brianna Chomer (as Sophie Green) watches her athletically cute boyfriend Carson Boatman (as Ryan) on the field. Later, they celebrate her college acceptance. Due to Mr. Boatman's texting while driving, they get into a car crash. He has a leg injury, but will live. Worse off, Ms. Green has a broken rib which could rupture her heart. She will die without a quick, successful operation. The title "Stalked by My Doctor" indicates what is in store for Green, should her operation prove successful...It's difficult to believe Roberts' character is one of the top cardiologists in the world, yet demonstrates behavior that would insult middle-schoolers by suggesting a comparison. You just have to accept his cognitive development is arrested in selected areas. He does have a bed with restraints, which comes in handy when his potential sex partners get the creeps. As usual, Roberts is fun to watch, even if the material is underwhelming. He obviously enjoys acting. Writer-director Doug Campbell wisely keep the cast out of the way and lets Roberts ride the wave. He throws priceless tantrums, ending an early one by telling his date, "I'm unfriending you!" When he learns Roberts may be interested in abducting his teenage daughter, unconcerned father Jon Briddell says, "Guys will be guys." L.O.L... ***** Stalked by My Doctor (2015/12/26) Doug Campbell ~ Eric Roberts, Brianna Joy Chomer, Carson Boatman, Deborah Zoe
View MoreThe wack job of the week is a prominent doctor who obsesses about his teenage patient. If you think about it, it could happen. Even though he is a rich successful doctor he comes off as not quite right so he can't keep a relationship. If you think about it a crazy doctor can get away with quite a lot of stuff and it's revealing to see the things he gets up to.Eric Roberts is suited to the role as the crazy doctor - hasn't he played every kind of bad guy there is? He seems to be in lots of movies these days and there is nothing wrong especially if he is right for the role. He deserves some kind of collective award for all the baddies he has played. Brianna Joy Chomer as the teenage girl acts well. The reaction of her parents is interesting - the mother is suspicious but the father isn't.Worth one watch.
View MoreI have to say that Eric Roberts got the best role he has ever had in films, possibly the very best. As the sex obsessed lunatic cardiologist, he turned in a powerhouse performance and had this been a movie shown in theaters, he would definitely be vying for an Oscar nomination as best actor of the year.Roberts goes from concerned, dedicated and brilliant heart surgeon to a ruthless mad obsessed man who is constantly dejected by women, but of course this comes as no surprise as he comes on quite quickly with women. This insanity goes over the top when he falls for one young girl patient he saves when she is involved in a car accident with her texting boyfriend. Her mother is at once suspicious and as Dr. Beck becomes more infatuated with his patient, he becomes more violent by cursing and throwing objects when he is thwarted in his attempts to seduce the girl.Roberts surely displays a Dr. Jekyll-Mr. Hyde personality to the fullest extent and his obsession leads to total insanity with faking the girl's death by burning a deceased hospital patient in her car with everyone thinking that the young girl is dead, while he has tied her up.Brilliant acting by Roberts highlights this production.
