An action-packed slog

Admirable film.

The thing I enjoyed most about the film is the fact that it doesn't shy away from being a super-sized-cliche;

Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.

Having found this movie in a local secondhand store, I purchased the DVD, as the cover looked interesting enough, Christian Slater in a spacesuit where the glass of the face shield was broken, plus it was a Sci-Fi movie, so it had potential.And the keyword here was 'had'.This movie was bad on almost every account. The storyline was just ridiculous and ludicrous. It started out well enough, but when the pregnancy and the growth of the creature started to take place, it just went downhill fast, despite there being no gravity on the moon.The movie had a very b-movie from the mid 1980's feel to it, especially the lunar scenes, because the base looked like a badly constructed toy.As for the acting, well it was alright, nothing mind-boggling though. So don't expect anything in the league of academy award winning.Truth be told, this movie was so bad that I actually fell asleep and missed the last 15 minutes or so, I assume. Not that I am bothering to go back and find out what happened in those minutes, because the movie was just not worth it."Stranded" is a snoozefest and it is hard to find anything about it that makes it worth recommending to other viewers, unless, of course, you are a die-hard fan of someone on the cast list.

it is more enjoyable to COMPLAIN about this movie... than to WATCH it! =====The only reason I do not give this a blatant rating of ZERO, is I feel sorry for the actors and investors (if there WERE investors). I swear to the gods above, my own very very FIRST action, (after viewing this movie) was to get UP... go to my blog, and write a scathing review.I did not hesitate, I did not "Pass Go" I did not "collect 200 dollars"...tho I must admit I do believe the acting budget was probably 200 dollars. I am a filmmaker and try to be as objective as possible. Understanding that many films have limitations, I try to see beyond the finances and look for other qualities such as performance, story, direction, and execution.Well, I looked for nearly an hour and found myself, after the first 3 minutes, wishing that a piece of the space shuttle would re-enter the atmosphere, crash through my roof, and hit me in the head.The most exciting moment of this viewing experience was when I finally decided to hit the stop button on my DVD player. The folks that made this fiasco should seriously consider Truckmasters or barber college.

This story is about the dumbest spacefolk in the known universe. Who ever is in charge of hiring the personnel to man this moon base must have sent the company's most incompetent employees to try to get rid of them............. When one of the crew finds a meteorite with something attached to it they proceed to bring it inside for examination. After a while they decide to quarantine the sample as well as a crew member who appears to be infected. In spite of having quarantined one crew member in the sickbay the other crew members spend more time inside the quarantined area than outside of it, leaving the door open on the process... not that it matters by now..... and so on and so on....
