I think this is a new genre that they're all sort of working their way through it and haven't got all the kinks worked out yet but it's a genre that works for me.

In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

While it doesn't offer any answers, it both thrills and makes you think.

This movie tries so hard to be funny, yet it falls flat every time. Just another example of recycled ideas repackaged with women in an attempt to appeal to a certain audience.

Horst in Translation (filmreviews@web.de)

"Street Fighter: Legacy" is a 3-minute live action short film that features Ryu and Ken, two of the most known characters from the Street Fighter video game franchise. Writer and director is actor Tony Ansah and this is not his only project on Street Fighter. Christian Howard, the actor who plays Ken, returned for "Assassin's Fist", but Jon Foo (Ryu) was replaced by another actor in that project. But back to this one here. The first 60 seconds are a bit of an introduction while everything afterward is fight sequences and they feature some of the trademark moves of the characters, like Ryu's blue ball made out of energy or Ken's flame fist attack. It's a solid watch for Street Fighter fans, but it's nothing that will get you interested in the franchise/games if you did not care before already. I still give it a thumbs-up. At this runtime, you probably won't be disappointed. It's really decent for a film under 200 seconds, even if it obviously lacks in the story department and character development.

Started with a flashy nightmare of Akuma. Then Ryu starts the journey. Meets Ken & had a fight. That's all! But...what a RUSH!!! Real action! Real fighting styles! (even the standing styles/positions are the same). The powers/moves looks so real (like games) & it's not animated looking. Totally for the die-hard fans. Jaw dropping, eye catching, flawless, heart pounding, goosebumps, breath-stopping...maybe sounds funny...but THIS IS REALLY WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING TO SEE!!! Please make this movie full length. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYY BETTER THAN SOME RECENT 'C' GRADE MOVIES...like:Street Fighter: Legend of Chun Li The King Of Fighters Dragon Ball Z Mortal Kombat 1+2 (not the Mortal Kombat:Rebirth...that's another u shud see) TekkenHope to see this movie comes to big screen...WB/Lionsgate kindda big distributors will contact the writer/director/producers soon...Take care bLoOD

... and that's capture the spirit and style of STREET FIGHTER. The fighting stances, special moves, attention to detail on the costumes: Ryu's is weather beaten because he lives in that. They even had the signature bushy eyebrows illustrated by the game/animation artists. the synopsis shows us the rivalry respect that Ken and Ryu have for one another, which is a staple in the SF storyline. It even includes a cameo of Akuma(Gouki in Japan) via nightmare by Ryu. Only complaint that it's not feature length. If director Joey Ansah can get on ball with Capcom, we may finally have a SF movie done justice. If he ever film another SF, I hope it exceeds the quality of Legacy
