Tantrum (2015) *** (out of 4) It's hard to put an exact plot on James Bell's latest film but in it he plans a man who at the start of the picture walks into a bathroom where he commits suicide. Throughout the thirty five minute film we see him commit various crimes against himself as well as a woman (Amanda Bell).I had just got done watching the director's previous film MANUER so I was expecting this to be something rather weird and bizarre and that's exactly what I got. As I said with the other film, this here isn't going to appeal to very many people due to its brutally graphic nature but if you're a fan of stuff you just don't see everyday then you should enjoy this graphic gore picture for what it is.I've only seen two films from Bell but I must admit that I think he has a certain unique and ugly vision that he manages to bring to the films. He certainly has a talent for being able to build up a rather disturbing atmosphere and then beat the viewer over the head with images that most will be looking away from. I'm not going to ruin some of the most memorable graphic moments here but let's just say that the like of Joe D'Amato and Lucio Fulci would be shocked and probably outraged.Again, this type of movie isn't going to appeal to your casual movie viewer but those who enjoy the underground horror movies should enjoy it and those who have the stomach will find Bell to have a good, if disgusting, vision.
